Location:

Come chat with your friendly committee members & volunteers, and pick up some free packets of veg, herb, flower and native seed varieties.

Our community seeds were generously donated by and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support. Additional ecotype seed varieties were also harvested and donated by local Hastings gardeners.

We welcome community seed donations harvested from your own garden and/or spare seed packets from previous seasons. Visit hastingspollinatorpathway.org/seed-exchange for more info.

Happy New 2024! I’ve been to CA and back. Holidays with family that included a slew of Covid and stomach viruses, precious time with old friends, time in the studio making more pottery, reading Late Migrations by .renkl and a beautiful snowfall last weekend to greet the new year in NY. I’m honestly craving more time to hibernate, rest, and reflect…but the seeds are calling and I’ll bring them upstairs soon to start planning. Wishing you all good health and adventures ahead in 2024!

My rose whisper came for a visit this month. No one knows roses quite like my mom, and she seriously kicked my butt in the field. May I be lucky enough to have her supernatural levels of energy and continued delight at getting dirty outdoors with flowers when I’m almost 80. Thankful.

Mum madness! It’s a real thing.

I love the fragrance of their fresh cut stems and these hardy work-horses of the flower world keep pumping out blooms when all the others have crashed with the frost. They are our last hurrah before winter rest and what an amazing finale!

Straight bunches and mixed bouquets with the last of our dahlias are available all week.

DM me if you’d like to treat yourself or someone you love to these local, seasonal, and sustainable beauties.

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting one of my seed heroines, Diane Wilson, at a talk the hosted in Cambridge MA. Worth every minute of the 7 hour drive to hear her words of wisdom and listen to her read from her beautiful book, The Seed Keeper. Her gift of sharing seeds and stories is a blessing, and perfect medicine for the heart and soul.

Day Two 2023

By far the best part of these amazing summits is building community — seeing old friends and making new connections.

Thank you Julio for making me feel so much better after my recent IG hacking mishap.

And a HUGE thank you to and the whole team for our magical flower days & this week!

I left Seattle feeling inspired, recharged and ready to take on the hot summer months ahead.

Can’t wait to see you all again in June 2024! Happy flowering in the meantime and come visit if you’re ever in NY!!

I love the big players, like roses and dahlias, but I’m also just as fond of the tiny delicate blooms like forget-me-nots, airy grasses and seed pods.

A fresh start, and a quick reintroduction after my OG IG disappeared.

I’m Katie. I have a small family flower farm and homegrown garden nursery in Hastings-on-Hudson NY, about 30 minutes north of Manhattan on the Hudson River.

I was born and raised in Laurel Canyon (California is still where I call home), lived in London for a decade (where I met my husband and we started our family), and landed in New York about 7 years ago.

I’m taking this unexpected opportunity to share some fun facts about me, and I hope you’ll follow along as I rebuild.
