Gratitude is a Game Changer!

About 5 years ago I started to dig deep to learn how to become a better version of myself! That journey continues because let’s face it, we never “arrive”! We always have to seek ways to grow, in every area of our lives, but as I read, studied and searched, the more gratitude surface! Living a life intentionally practicing gratitude has changed my life! And in leaning into gratitude, the deeper to seek God’s will for my life. May we all desire to practice a life of gratitude!🙏

Who in this world is not hurting or knows someone close to them who is not hurting?

I had the privilege this week of spending time in a Bible study listening to other’s life stories. We all have different life experiences, some much harder than others, but what came to me as I listened is that if we could all treat one another with love, compassion and empathy, how different and better our world would be! We all have our own stories, but we are so quick to criticize and judge when in reality we have no idea what that person has walked through! So as we embark on a new week I challenge you and me to approach it with a heart to serve others, listen to their story and show kindness and compassion to everyone around us!

Walking in HIS spirit and serving others can sometimes be heavy, but oh the reward that comes from it is so much greater!

1 Timothy 3:1 (ESV) "The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task."

Artist of the Day! - Adam Shemper

Adam Shemper was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1975. He is a photographer, writer and psychotherapist. In his early working years he was a frequent contributor to the Oxford American Magazine. Since then he has published stories and photographs in national and international magazines and newspapers, and contributed images to film and television. Selected photographs from his series “Sardis Lake” were included in the International Center of Photography’s 2003 exhibit Only Skin Deep: Changing Visions of the American Self. An image from his series “Portraits of Invisible Men” was included (2016) in the Academy Award-nominated Netflix documentary 13th. His work is profoundly influenced by his background growing up with familial ties to California and deep roots in the South’s Jewish community. His studio, Kingfisher, is in Healdsburg, California.
