We had a great wedding season this year! Along the way we enjoyed learning about the couples who were married at Swan Harbor Farm and we wanted to share a Newlywed News post with you all. Meet Danny and Katie. They met in 2017, during their third year at the University of Maryland, where they both were studying to be engineers! Danny is a mechanical engineer and Katie is a biomedical engineer. Danny lived across the hall from Katie and they both happened to be waiting for the elevator in their apartment building early in the morning on the first day of class. Danny struck up a conversation, which Katie enjoyed, and the next day Danny knocked on her apartment door while she was cooking dinner. She invited him in for dinner where he must've liked the meal because he stuck around. After school they lived 2 hours away from each other so there were long drives to visit on weekends. After Katie got an amazing job in San Antonio, TX, Danny packed up his entire life, quitting his very nice job and moved with Katie to Texas. While Katie worked, Danny continued his education for his master's and then they packed up and moved to North Carolina where this time Katie is back to school for her PhD. They now spend their free time enjoying their adorable dogs, Luka and Harlow but also now have a flock of chickens too! Now that they're newlyweds they look forward to many years of happiness and adventure. They've traveled to 16 states and 5 countries together so far and can't wait to see more!

Today our reception tent will be taken down, cleaned and stored until next year. We're sad to see our outdoor season end but grateful that we were able to meet so many lovely couples who chose Swan Harbor Farm for their very special day. We are now finalizing our indoor events as well as completing property upkeep and repairs. Always something to do at our lovely venue. Don't forget that we are a public park all year-round so come on out! There is so much to see and enjoy. Have a wonderful weekend!

We're only 9 days away from our Wedding Expo 2024! We're looking forward to seeing couples who have reserved our venue for their wedding next year and to meeting newly engaged couples as well! The date for our expo is Sunday, November 3rd, 12:00-3:00 pm and you will be very pleased to see we have 50 vendors who are eager to meet you and discuss the services they offer for weddings. In just over two weeks we will be hosting our Wedding Expo 2024. The date is Sunday, November 3rd and we will be welcoming engaged couples to meet with vendors, including caterers, deejays, and florists to discuss their wedding plans and possibly choose certain vendors to work with them on their big day! Our expo is always a pleasant day to meet couples and to socialize with everyone. So, mark your calendar for the 3rd! We'll see you at the tent!

Our Wedding Expo 2024 is coming soon! We are looking forward to welcoming all engaged couples who are planning their wedding and looking for a venue, caterer, deejay and more. The date is Sunday, November 3rd; the time is 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
Vendors - it's not too late to join us to display and discuss your business and meet couples who are looking for someone like you!
Newlyweds - we will include our Recycle Love portion at our Expo. You will have the opportunity to sell any decor items from your wedding that you wish to offer couples who are looking for that special something to make their day perfect.

Just a reminder, we will be holding our next Open House this Sunday, October 6th, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. Engaged couples are invited to visit, take a tour inside the farmhouse, stroll down to the waterfront and go home with those "this is the place" feels.
