Our Farm House Dinners are a farm-to-table dinner experience, where our goal is to nurture our guests with wholesome ingredients and promote the local agricultural community. For these special dinners, we seek out some of the best Montana ingredients and incorporate them into memorable recipes which are sure to satisfy and inspire. The Farm House is located South of Havre on Beaver Creek Road.

Since we have been talking about this beautiful Painted Mountain Corn, let's learn more about the people that produce it right here in Montana. Founded in 2018 by Charley and Stephanie Overbay, C&S Produce is a certified organic farm located in Big Sandy, MT. The believe that there is a direct connection between soil health, plant health and human health and here at Farmer Meets Foodie, we so do align with that same value. You will find their Painted Mountain corn, winter squash and potatoes labeled as CharleOy's Produce and we love to use them in a variety of our catering and Farm House dinner creations.

Let's talk more about Painted Mountain Corn and what makes this so special! Painted Mountain corn was developed in Montana by Dave Christensen over the course of many decades. It's bred to withstand a variety of conditions, including cold temperatures, high winds, drought, and intense heat. Painted Mountain Corn is high in protein and anti-oxidant pigmentation, offering easily digestible nutrition compared to other corn varieties. Roast it, boil it or cut it from the cob for a tasty sweet corn or dry the kernes and grind them into flour for breads, muffins and more. Painted Mountain Corn is so delicious and it's colors are fun too! We are so fortunate to be able to locally source this beautiful corn variety from C&S Produce in Big Sandy, Montana. ❤
