Knights of Columbus, St. Ann's Council #2853, Fair Lawn, NJ Proudly serving the parish communities of St Anne's, St. Leo's & St Catherine McGivney, whose cause for sainthood is currently being considered by the Vatican.

The Knights of Columbus was founded on March 29, 1882 in New Haven, CT, by Father Michael J. The Knights of Columbus was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious,

social welfare, war relief and public relief works. Pope John Paul II called the Knights “the strong right arm of the Church”. The Knights are best
known for our acts of charity, not the least of which is our involvement with the Special Olympics and our annual drives to help the mentally challenged, which our council uses to assist local charities. St. Ann's Council #2853 was chartered on February 22, 1942, and we serve the parishes of St. Anne’s in Fair Lawn, St. Leo’s in Elmwood Park, and St. Catharine’s in Glen Rock. Our order was among the first to aid families after the 9/11 terror attacks and the natural disasters in Haiti and Japan. Regular business meetings are held bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practical Catholic men. We'd love to have you as a new member.
