Over the last few hours, we’ve been working rapidly behind the scene to gather additional resources to make a bigger impact and accept contributions through a local and nimble ag-oriented non-profit. WNC Communities is a local 501c3 (EIN 56-0797766) who has set up a fund to accept direct contributions for livestock fence repairs. The funds will be used for impacted livestock farms across western NC.

Hello everyone our farmers to the east of us in Asheville are in a bad way. They are looking for people who have extra fenced pastures or donations of Hay, feed fencing etc. to help. Maybe you know someone who is a farmer that is no longer using their pastures. Or someone like me who downsized and has some room. Or if you just want to donate some money to help pay for shipping feed and hay into the area. PLEASE fill out this form if there is anyway you can help. I am offing up my pastures for small livestock or horses for a month or two. but I can only take on so many I am hoping to get enough pastureland to full up a trailer to bring this way. Help if you can and spread the word!

Thank You Chevelle's 66 & 69, Legends Steakhouse ,The Tattered Tartan Pub , Nocturnal Brewing Company, Murphy's Chop House and The Mason Bar for entering our Bloody Mary contest. If you didn't make it this is what you missed! For the Judge's Choice Murphy Chop House won 1st place, Mason Bar won 2nd place and Tattered Tartan Pub won 3rd place. For Peoples Choice the Mason Bar won 1st, Nocturnal Brewing Company won 2nd and The Tattered Tartan Pub won 3rd. Some placements were as close as one point.

The steaks are great but my favorite is "Not Your Grandma's Chicken and Waffles" What's yours? Come by and support your favorite Restaurant. Shout out to Epic Catering and Eatery of Town of Hayesville, NC for signing up for the Bloody Mary Contest July 27th. at the Murphy Riverwalk. last years winner. Whom I hear has a very unique offering this year. If you have never been to Epic you have to go. Chef: Karl has the most impeccable Palate I honestly can not pick a favorite meal there. Come by and support your favorite Restaurant. We will announce more of the competitors leading up to the day of!

We now have 9... count em ..... 9 restaurants competing in the Bloody Mary Competition July 27th on Riverwalk in Conjunction with Tomato Fest and the Murphy's Farmers Market.

Look for the Big Party Tent behind the Hackney Building. For a small $10 donation you can sample them all! You don't want to miss this! Come support your favorite Restaurant which includes Epic Catering and Eatery, Nocturnal Brewing Company, Chevelle's 69 of Hayesville. The Crown of Brasstown, The Chop House Legends Steakhouse, The Mason Bar, Chevelle's Murphy and Tattered Tartan Pub of Andrews.
