We are saddened and humbled and honored to witness the life and passing of Joe Dolezal. Mr. Dolezal led the vocal music and musical theatre programs at Hays High School through the 1970s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. He was the driving force to putting the HHS vocal music arts on the map statewide. He received one of the first Kansas Choral Directors Association’s lifetime achievement awards and his dedication to musical theatre continues to influence that program at our school today. RIP, Mr. Doleazal! And thank you, for your remarkable service and impact in music education in Hays. Our entire community is indebted to you and forever changed by your amazing work!
