Thank you to everyone that has reached out and for all your prayers and well wishes.

Jay did receive the max for what the plea agreement laid out and we are thankful for that BUT with that being said it’s just not enough. Nothing is truly enough, it won’t bring her back, it won’t erase the wrongs, the pain and the loss.

Judge Braun said it right we all carry a guilt… the cops, lawyers, friends, family should have done more we all could have. We (Jeremiah and I) have many “we should have moments” but also many moments of helping and being saddened by the choice of going back.

But those that turned their head the other way, those that denied his actions as wrong… I would never want to feel the guilt that you carry.

My door to my home is open, my phone is on, my store is right on main. It’s welcome to anyone male, female …families that needs help. There will be no judging just an army of people ready to help. You are worthy of a different life, I know it can be scary but you can get away. I have seen both sides a spouse that can’t get out and a child that lived in it, if you can’t do it for you please do it for your child.

A Little About Us

Hello & Welcome to Chestnut Street Floral!

A little about us! We are your local flower & gift shop that has been providing quality flowers & gifts to the community of Hays for many years. In the fall of 2015 the shop changed hands to the current owner, Kayci Schumacher & with that she brought fresh flowers back to the store as well as adding her wedding business, Wedding Connections + Events.

Kayci has over 12 years of experience with decorating & design behind her. Kayci’s manager, Katie Longpine has a lifetime of experience in a flower & gift shop with a degree from FHSU in art education, an emphasis in sculpture and a minor in painting. Katie is also in the process of receiving her floral design certificate in hopes of bringing new & exciting designs to the store. This duo makes for a pretty unique & hard to find friendship that creates some beautiful floral designs, custom gift baskets & an all around warm & inviting experience for all of our customers.
