This is your sign to just have fun on your wedding day! If the standard posed photos and formal first look don’t work for you then don’t do it! Sara and Jesse opted to instead embrace fun and make their wedding party photos a party. We did manage to sneak in some super cool vogue inspired shots but then it was back to having a good time. Because the best way to have an epic wedding day is to do it your way!

Why have one wedding when you can have two? Alex and I decided to have a Catholic Church wedding in October and make the celebration an intimate one with our closest family and our Best Man, Maid and Man of Honor. We also decided to celebrate with all of our favorite Healdsburg spots culminating in our favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy, Baci. We knew we wanted to gather everyone around a big table and have an awesome feast! And shout out to for capturing the whole day so perfectly! We are obsessed with the American gothic vibes in the last photo.

Table settings with meaning. We love when meaningful details are imbued into every element of your design. For Lauren and Alex, we started with the inspiration of woodblock print, natural elements to reflect the Mendocino coast and Japanese influences to represent Lauren’s heritage. We incorporated these elements into the deep blue wave woodblock print for the menus, vintage obis (a traditional Japanese sash) for the table runners and ikebana flower arrangements. We paired all of this with deep jewel tone colors to reflect the fall season and organic stoneware. Overall this design felt so Lauren and Alex and such a reflection of what they love!

Summer wedding joy! We had such a whirlwind June and July and we loved every second of it and so did our couples! Our biggest priority that is that you will be able to enjoy every second of your wedding weekend.

Did you know that in California you don’t actually sign your marriage license on your wedding day? You actually sign it when you pick it up.

We still add marriage license signing to our timeline however, usually right after the ceremony. This way you can spend a few moments alone with a celebratory drink and some appetizers while our team gathers your officiant and witnesses for the actual signing. Once they sign you can celebrate the fact that you are officially married and then go join cocktail hour to celebrate with everyone!

The prettiest spring invitation suite you’ve ever seen 💕

When Meggie, Mark and I started chatting about colors they were really influence by the colors of the Mediterranean and Italy so we landed on a juicy palette of warm tones inspired by the Mediterranean including this gorgeous sea blue, pops of sweet yellow and orange zest with hints of petal pink, peach fuzz and lilac. We couldn’t have asked for a better color palette for their Spring San Francisco wedding.

Orange isn’t just a fall color anymore! We’ve noticed over the past two years that orange is playing a more prominent role in our spring designs. With the desire to bring in the natural landscape and pull in the colors of the spring wildflowers like the California poppy, orange has been popping up more and more in spring designs. It used to be my least favorite color and now, well I’m in love! Don’t feel that you need to be restrained by “typical” seasonal colors. When you pull from nature it is always going to be gorgeous!
