With the new year we begin a new season. The season always starts with lots of planning. Part of that planning involves you and your support of our CSA Program. We offer "Spring Shares", "Summer Shares" and new this year "Peony Shares".

What season is your favorite? Grab a share for yourself and / or someone you love.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Our Members purchase a "Share" during the winter months and reap the benefits in weekly flowers during the growing season. Each share is full of our beautiful flowers grown right here on our Hebron flower farm. Our Farm uses the funds from those purchases for yearly start-up costs. Seeds, plugs, nursery pots, pro-mix, compost, fertilizers, everything!

We took advantage of this warm day to cut our paniculata aka panicled Hydrangeas back. Typically that work is done in February but, honestly, it was so nice to cut them back without my snowshoes on!

We cut them to about knee high each winter when they are dormant. Pruning them at this height gives us perfect size blooms on nice long stems.

This area contains Limelight, Fire Light, Sweet Summer, Little Lime, and Pinky Winky (hey I don't name them, I just grow them). We use the blooms extensively in our csa and market bouquets, weddings, and wholesale sales.

This weekend you will find our flower farm at the Norway UU Church on Main St in . I love this Christmas Fair! I visit with all my local customers, hang out with two of my besties, and bonus, they feed us a delicious lunch.

Over the last several years we have really paid attention to what varieties of our can take the cold and which ones are damaged by it. These two, Oriental Knight amd Kelvin Mandarin still looked amazing after several nights in the low teens. Also the Fleeces (Pink and Bronze) really hold strong in the cold.

We have been growing this amazing crop for nine seasons and still we learn more about growing them successfully. I believe it is the challenge that fuels my addiction to them.

Busy in my studio filling ornaments with dried flowers for you! Each ornament is full of flowers grown and dried here on our Hebron flower farm. They make a wonderful teacher gift or hostess gift, or for your own tree!
