Take some time to travel down Route 6 to the Summer Kitchen ~ just a 1/2 mile west of Helena, Ohio! We are located behind the Victorian home we grew up in and right beside the family's Airstream business. We have a hip mix of vintage and new in the store mixed with lots of fun gifts for your favorite pals. Some of our most popular ones are our Tea-Riffic Tea Boxes. We have our own private label of

"Summer Kitchen Teas" consisting of several different black, green, white, sencha & rooibos teas. We have around 40 teas right now and are continuously growing our collection of wellness teas that our customers love. We are continually getting in new and different seasonal and everyday items in the store. We love supporting other businesses in the USA and, you will see many of those items in our store! Grab some of our French Boule, Rosemary Garlic Beer Bread, and Focaccia Bread mixes. They pair lovely with our Thornburg Preserves from Holland, MI. We also carry delicious Lemon Lavender, Peaches & Cream, Lemon Blueberry, and more flavors of scones to pair with your tea! We carry several caramels and sweets that change up for each season. For yourself, we carry several ponchos, kimonos and dusters. Accessorize with our different types of jewelry that will pull your outfits together! You will love our home selection, we always change things up to go along with each season. We carry lots of wall decor from clocks and mirrors to shelving and wall signs. Karrie also creates beautiful custom wreaths for your walls, front doors, and arrangements for your tables. We love to handpick different accessories for your home as well. We have a fun mix of lamps, throws, clocks, and more mixed with great vintage pieces to give your home your own personality.

Our Story

The Summer Kitchen is owned by two sisters who share a passion for floral & interior design. Shortly after Karrie came back home from college, our humble beginnings took root. The name for the store came from an original summer kitchen, located behind our family's 1904 Queen Anne home. It was here, that Karrie first focused on her floral arranging, thus The Summer Kitchen began in the fall of 1995. Several years went by and the business outgrew the building, so a pole barn was constructed behind the original summer kitchen, and right beside the family's Airstream refinishing business. The old building was "adopted" and went to another home. As time went by, Karla joined Karrie partnering to create a store that carried more home decor items and provided interior design work.

We consider ourselves a specialty retailer with a mix of Vintage and New that gives your home that one-of-a-kind look! Scarves, ponchos and jewelry will freshen up your wardrobe. We have over 40 loose-leaf teas to choose from that we package in-house. We’d love it if you’d stop by to enjoy a complimentary a cup of tea while listen to Dino, Frank & Ella while you shop and the stress melts away! We are located 1/2 mile west of Helena on US Highway 6 Look for the Airstreams ( P&S Trailer Service is located beside us!) We also have a booth at the Maumee Antique Mall in Maumee, OH ~ look for us at Booth #209 to get a little bit of our Helena location in the city!!
