Sozo Children provides faith-centered child development in Uganda by rescuing children from extreme poverty, abuse, abandonment, and trafficking and equipping them with what they need to lead successful lives.

Sozo has rented the park at Helena Hollow and the park will be open as it is in October!

Our Story

Helena Hollow is located conveniently in Helena...approximately 10 minutes or less from Hoover, Pelham and Alabaster, 20 minutes from Calera, Montevallo, and Bessemer, and 25 minutes from Mountain Brook and Vestavia! Children can run and play freely but safely in our enclosed grassy barn yard while parents and other party guests look on from the shade of our covered barn with picnic table seating, restroom access, ceiling fans, heaters, & lights. Serving tables & a stationary hay cart allow plenty of options for party snacks & present display. Party guests have a front row seat to the animal entertainment as our "party animals" stay stalled underneath the barn roof for the entire party. Helena Hollow party animals are as friendly as they come and love the attention they receive during parties. Helena Hollow is also not just for kids! We welcome (& have hosted) weddings (please call or visit website for pricing), receptions, corporate events, retirement & anniversary parties, and baby & wedding showers as well. In addition to a unique venue in a prime location, Helena Hollow also offers DECORATION packages! Choose either our "Southern Belle", “Boho Barn”, “Shabby Sheep”, "Fiesta on the Farm", "Pink Lemonade", "Campground" or "Farm Fun" decor bundle and have the barn ready to welcome guests without lifting a finger! (See pictures of these packages under the Photos tab and in the album titled "Decor Options.") Reserve your event at Helena Hollow with a $50 non-refundable deposit (payable by PayPal, check or cash) and pay the remaining balance of $250 by cash or check upon arriving for the event. Parties book on Fridays (TBD), Saturdays: 10-12, 1:30-3:30, and 5-7pm and on Sundays: 12:30-2:30 and 4:00-6:00. An additional half hour of prep time is allotted before each time slot and a half hour is given for clean up time at the end of each event. We would love for you to book your event with us and share your special day with our friendly farm pets!
