As a kid I grew up eating oatmeal with butter, whole milk and brown sugar on it... today I swap out the butter for Sciabica's Lemon Olive Oil, blueberries for the brown sugar and healthy walnuts and no whole milk! Soooooo good! All healthier, as I'm not a kid anymore!

REST IN PEACE CHEF MICHAEL CHIARELLO 🙏 with sincere and heartfelt condolences to Chef's family, loved ones, friends, colleagues and lives he touched. I did not know him, but I shared a magazine cover and pages in between with him. Respectfully, I admired him as a chef and his wonderful successes. Other common threads; we were close in age as he was only 61, he's from Turlock, California, we both love Napa and we both share severe allergies. May his Spirit live on through his culinary dishes throughout the world. 🙏

I was playing around with recipes yesterday.... I'm not much of a baker, so I used box cake mix and instead of vegetable oil I used Sciabica's Orange Olive Oil! 🍊 soooo tasty!!! 😋

✈️🌎🍷🍽🥖 Dana's Family Kitchen will be on vacation through July 26th!!! I will be traveling through Italy, France, and Spain and I might not have good service, so if you leave a message for a booking and I don't respond, please know I will!

Pink-A-Boo⁉️ Fresh strawberries at Costco, pale in color, says a hint of pineapple, has little flavor and dense texture. Perhaps a unique addition to a charcuterie board or maybe put them in food color & water for rainbow strawberries 🤔 Dine well... Dah~lings

What a wonderful gathering of family and friends!! Thank you for the opportunity last night to be your in-home private chef and participate in the birthday celebration!!
Virginia (gracious hostess and long time friend 😘) and I created the menu together, then I did my thing~ a blueberry baked brie, fruity sangria, seafood medley, lemon chicken medallions, marinara kale mushroom pasta, pesto tortellini, green and white asparagus from Peru, with pesto and butter breads 😋 it was Dana~licious!!

Hello Facebook Family and Friends!
1st and foremost, I hope you are well! I miss you all immensely!! I miss working! I miss people, normalcy, food and the creativity it allows me to express my love of food, planning the next event, Direct Appliance and I miss the pure joy my career would bring me. My small business has not been legally allowed to operate since March 18, 2020 to present. My hearts breaks a lil' more everyday as I've created a business from scratch that has been all but destroyed.
Please know I'm resilient and tenacious, I'll be back! In the meantime I'm still here if anyone wants free help with culinary questions!

This past week~ playing around in the kitchen with small appliances and tasty new recipes! This morning I took the excess fruit & veggies (14 total!) and made 100% pure fresh juice in my Champion Juicer! Sooooo good! 😀 Also, Cuisinart's 4 in 1 makes killer panini sandwiches without butter or oil! Safe, healthier, & tastier wishes to everyone 😘

16 bean soup!
I package dry beans
64 oz. vegetable broth
1 lb. diced smoked turkey kielbasa
16 oz. spaghetti sauce
2 c. sliced carrots
2 c. sliced celery
1 c. broccoli shoots
3 tbsp. chopped garlic
1 tbsp. black pepper

Pre soak or quick prep dry beans. Simmer all ingredients on low for 2 to 2 1/2 hours stovetop or in slow cooker on low for 8 hours.
Keep building up your immune system with healthy bites 😋

GAGGENAU!!! Yesterday was my 1st time training in the Gaggenau kitchen in the Direct Appliance showroom... I'm not easily impressed, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away but the enhanced features and precision of this line of kitchen appliances! Come in and see for yourself or request a demo to see it live! Here's a tease, an oven with a dual top and bottom bake temperature feature, yes total oven control with the ease of a k**b! Wow!!!
