Proud of the work out team accomplished on the exhibit opening gala.

A five projector blend (shooting between architectural columns, whew!) for an 82' wide scenic projection, two additional decor projections for the back of the room, lighting design, event audio, staging, and drape. With custom content and animations, this event really showcased the capabilities and skills of our crew.

Testing 5.1 surround sound decoding for an upcoming project. This one is a projection package with surround sound for a movie premiere, but thr same could be used for any kind of movie party, or layered in to events for into videos and executive walk-ins.

This week is a big week, marking the largest audio deployment in AVP history. Three ballrooms, more than 10 meeting rooms, a 240,000 square foot exhibit hall, and thousands of feet of corridors and lobbies. It's taken every speaker in our inventory, plus some major assist from our best friends at who have rolled in with 70+ Martin cabinets. We're even leaning on and Appomattox Audio Works for more gear and expertise.

And that's just the audio!

We've also got two stage lighting rigs (with gear from ), have supplied gear and expertise to our partners at , and have enjoyed meeting some new friends from other vendors on the project.

And that's the reason we are so dedicated to our B2B relationships. The production community in Richmond are our friends, partners, vendors, and customers. We will always support them and their success enthusiastically so that we may count on them to do do the same, as they have today.

More details to follow on this fun build, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the great work and support today.

From Virginia to California and back again, the AVP team has traveled the country this week producing events big and small. Hundreds of in-person guests, dozens of pre-produced content snippets, and even a website or two: AVP helps our customers reach their audiences in person, online, and coast to coast.

That is our mission, and it feels good to be good at it.

Good early morning!

We are in Williamsburg providing from and from , working alongside our good friends from ! Encore is one of the largest AV companies in the world - the merger of PSAV and Encore of old - with a huge footprint as the in-house provider for hundreds (thousands?) of hotels and conference centers.

We take very seriously the responsibility of serving our B2B partners. Our industry can be quite competitive in the planning and bidding process, but once contracts are signed the show comes first, and we want to make sure every project with every partner goes as perfectly as possible.

This crew is from all over the country, and we're glad to be on board. Thanks, Encore!

Some days, our work seems not so serious, and not so important. We might ask ourselves what positive contributions we are making to the world. What does the average stagehand or technician or designer ever get remembered for? Is this - flashy lights and loud music - really much of a calling? What are we - to quote our parents - really doing with our lives?

We can write about the joys our audiences experience at a concert or the fun and excitement we layer on to what might otherwise be a run-of-the-mill conference. And that stuff is important. It truly is.

But then there's this: AVP-produced events raise millions of dollars every year for incredibly important causes. We are so grateful for our partnership with Mosaic Catering & Events in having us on board for these projects, and with customers like ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation for trusting us to help them convey their mission to their audience. That's *our* mission, and we take incredible pride in that work. We are backstage, behind the scenes, pushing the buttons that connect people.

It's serious. It's important. It truly is.

But that doesn't mean we can't have a lot of fun doing it.

This party under the Big Top celebrated the designation of Richmond's Massey Cancer Center as a Comprehensive Care Center, an achievement which recignizes their dedicated service to their patients, research accomplishments, and community-centered approach.

This project - planned by our good friends at - came together at record speed, with AVP providing sound, lighting, video, and run-of-show management for a customer deserving of top-level service.

It was a pleasure working alongside and and many more, from aerialists to photographers to scenic fabricators and furniture rental!
