In 2018 we added officiating to our repertoire. At first, as more of a backup. But, then, we started getting asked to do it.
It’s now gotten to be something we absolutely LOVE doing!!!!
We’re able to get to know our couples on a much deeper level. And personalize their weddings even more.
Now we officiate on average, 8-10 weddings a year.

This is one of our favorite wedding messages from this year. This couple was such a treat and the analogy perfectly captured their love for outdoors and for tubing down a river. Which they had just come back from doing at the time of their wedding.

We’ve been meeting with a lot of couples lately to chat with them about their 2025 weddings. And one key point keeps coming up.
“Who do YOU want representing you at your wedding?”
When you hire a Master of Ceremonies, you’re not hiring some random person to play music and bring a mic.

You’re hiring someone to represent you! How they look, how they act, what they say to your closest family and friends, the music they play with little ones around, how smoothly they make everything flow and how much stress they add or subtract from your day.
All a reflection of you and a representation of you and your day.
You wouldn’t hire a caterer without meeting them, trying their food, making sure they can do what you need them to do etc.
you wouldn’t hire a photographer without getting to know them, making sure they have the right equipment, knowledge and skill set to shoot your day and without seeing examples of their work.

Next to you and your significant other, your Dj/Emcee will be the second most visible person in the room. They’ll definitely be the loudest. And how they look, act, sound and perform will have a direct effect on how successful your day is.
DJ’s are typically one of the last vendors booked. They should be one of the first!

The picture is a thank you card from an amazing couple we had the privilege of working with just a few months ago. What makes this more significant is that she is a coordinator at a venue! She sees vendor after vendor come through on a weekly basis. It means the world when couples reach out after and shares their appreciation. It means even more when it’s a vendor. And the most when it’s both at the same time.

Having a quality dj service matters! I’ve said for years that a professionally trained “Master of Ceremonies”, which is what we are, is vital to a successful event of any sort. But, especially when it comes to weddings.
A well trained Master of Ceremonies can double as a wedding planner/coordinator.
A professional wedding planner/coordinator CANNOT double as an emcee, dj, master of ceremonies.

We’re incredibly passionate about educating couples because we see the difference it can make to someone’s once in a lifetime event.

Unfortunately, couples this year struggled with unbelievable price jumps and inflation. In many cases by vendors who raised their rates simply because they could.
And many couples chose to cut costs by opting for a more budget friendly dj service or simply doing it themselves.

We know. We got many calls from couples whose dj had disappeared or from couples that quickly found themselves in over their heads doing it themselves. And we are already seeing a shift in couples prioritizing quality entertainment for next year.

The sad fact is that 90% of couples are unaware of how important a well trained dj service is. And 70% of djs in the area have little to no professional training.

This is why we offer a free consult and resources to couples. And have spent a great deal of time lifting up the dj community in the area and being a resource to them for learning and growing.

Our hope always is that even if a couple doesn’t book with us, they’ll walk away with a better understanding of how important a true master of ceremonies is to their day and have more questions to ask other companies to help them find the best fit for them. And we hope that there will come a time when all the companies in the area choose to train and grow and learn so couples aren’t choosing a dj by who has the better light show and extras. But, by who best fits their personality and vision.
All the flowers, decorations and cupcakes can’t make up for a terrible dj embarrassing you in front of all your closest family and friends.

Throwback to some of the action over the last month! Endless hours of planning and prep. Lots of sweat the day of…. Literally! And countless numbers of happy couples and guests!
We can’t believe summer is coming to an end. But, thankfully, the celebrations are not!
Absolutely crushed every wedding so far this year and can’t wait to close out the season with a bunch more!

Bubble dances: We put on these one hour interactive kids programs all throughout the whole summer! For schools, summer programs, national night outs and more!
Foam parties: Nothing says summer like music and a huge wall of foam!
Selfie Station/photobooth: New, modern, digital, user friendly and completely battery powered for up to 5 hours!
A/V: putting on a corporate event and need sound, visuals, mics, background music, announcing and more? We’ve got you.
Night life: Have a bar, restaurant or venue putting on an epic party night? We are one of very few in town bringing non stop energy and actual club style mixing.
Lastly, Event production: Have an idea for an event and would like someone to take the reins and produce it? We’ve produced not only our own events, but events for several cities and organizations in the area!
Our training and experience means that whatever your needs are, we can make it happen.
Our training and attention to detail is why so many in the area consider us the best!
Not a plug by any means. We just constantly have people that are surprised by all the things we offer and at the level of which we offer them. And we figured we’d do a quick post to remind everyone!

A common misconception is that a DJ simply comes, sets up some equipment and plays music. Nothing could be further from the truth. As you can see from the image, to be a proficient professional mobile DJ, we need to learn to be many things.
And I can tell you from experience that just one of these things takes endless amounts of time to learn. Multiply that by the whole list and you start to see why a trained professional mobile DJ costs so much.
And, if you’re paying attention, it should make you concerned why some DJ’s charge soo much less than others.
A professional will make it look easy. But they probably spent years training to make it appear that way.

It’s infuriating that “certain” wedding planning sites suggest that your DJ is only worth 5% or less of your budget. When a they are responsible for 75% or more of your days success.
Couples want to create an amazing experience for themselves and their guests on the day of their wedding. They want it to be stress free and they want to have fun.

To have that, you need a professionally trained mobile DJ. And you should expect to pay at the very least, as much as you paid for your photographer.
Make a mobile DJ a priority, not an afterthought. Get the right one and you’ll be glad you did.

Having just gotten back from an amazing workshop in Sioux Falls where I had the privilege of learning from one of the best Master of Ceremonies, I couldn’t help but reflect on all the classes, courses, workshops and seminars I’ve taken to truly care for my clients and their events.

One of the first interactions I had was with a client whose mother was surprised at all I was doing for their wedding because she thought I am “just a dj”.

I’m so much more and it is so much more. There’s way more that goes into what we do. Because it’s important and because it matters to us and especially to the clients we serve.
Besides creating amazing experiences for our clients, I’m incredibly passionate about educating couples, vendors and even other DJ’s on the importance of being a properly trained Master of Ceremonies and DJ and the incredible role it will have on a couple and on an event.

My passion for the industry and for the clients that trust me with their events is why I tirelessly work to become the best version of myself that I can be.
