The Barn On Nye Manor is a family owned event venue that carries a classic elegance conveniently located between Toledo and Fort Wayne. We are a premier event Barn in the Hicksville area and specialize in weddings. Our barn is part of a working farm where we still grow sweet corn and pumpkins. Our desire for excellence and detail is seen from the drive up to the storied barn with the exquisite scenery, landscaping, and inside, the beautiful old hand hewn beams, the stage is beginning to be set as a backdrop for this exciting chapter in âYour Storyâ to begin.
The original farm was known as the âBaker Farmâ. The current owners, Steve and Gena Nye, purchased it in 2007. Emma Baker Connolly, whoâs grandfather built the home and barn in the late 1800âs, is a precious part of the Nye Family still today. In her 90âs, she still comes out to see this beautiful, historic farmhouse and barn that she still calls her âhome placeâ. She also, loves spending time with the Nye Family who have lovingly adopted her as âgrandmaâ. The Nye Family have lovingly preserved the property and continue to care for it and itâs prominent history. There is an original beveled glass picture of the farmhouse and barn, with hitching posts in front of the house, that Steve and Gena proudly display in their home.
