As of July 1st, 2024, Plain and Fancy Caterers is operating as Wright Brothers Catering Group.
In August of 2022, ownership changed for only the 2nd time since our establishment in 1977. Executive Chef, Spencer Wright, and his brother, Dan (Culinary Institute of America Alum) established Wright Brothers Catering Group which has been doing business as Plain and Fancy for the last 22 months.
Dan and Spencer recognize the history of Plain and Fancy in the High Point area but feel that Wright Brothers Catering Group more accurately represents their long-term vision for the company. Both Dan and Spencer have extensive experience as private chefs on yachts as well as larger scale catering and food production. They are weaving these experiences into the business and broadening the scope of possibility for your events.

"I just had to take the time to thank Plain and Fancy Caters for making my daughter's bridal shower such a success. From the moment I interacted with them from S Florida, I could not have been more pleased. Planning an event from out of town is a huge challenge by itself but they made it easy for me. Every single person that I interacted with from getting my menu ready, discussing choices and flavors, to the day of the shower were pure professionals. The food was amazing as was the set up! And I can't not mention the staff on the day of the event, 3 women who were amazing and tended to our every need. Everything looked beautiful and I could not have asked for better. We were honored to be part of Ronnie's Memorial Service at Oak Hollow Festival Park this weekend. Pat and Ronnie were wed at this park 19 years ago, so it was the perfect place for family and friends to gather and celebrate Ronnie and the life he lived.
