I have a big announcement! Ben and I decided to get married!! Haha, not really. Well, we did get married but that's old news and not the reason for my post.

The last few years have been a time of major change for everyone some good, some bad. Our news is a little of both. Last month we uprooted from Virginia and moved to Florida! We bought a house 2 miles from my parents (and their pool 😅) and we're only an hour from the most amazing beaches. I never leave my house without my sunglasses and I smile everytime I see a palm tree 🌴 (which is a lot!)

I can't say the change was easy. I've moved many times before but it's never been this hard. I've shed tears. I've second guessed myself because of all amazing relationships I've built in VA. But ultimately it's the right choice for me and most importantly, my family.

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MARY ANNA PHOTOGRAPHY?! No worries! Nothing's changing. You can take the girl out of the state but you can't keep her there! I've been back once a month since the move and it looks like that'll be the pattern for a while. The support I've received is overwhelming! I've got VA weddings to shoot and engagement session slots open this year and next. I've even had venues offer me lodging if I'll come back and shoot there. Really you all are so amazing!

I loved creating these magical portraits last week in the snow. It's the perfect match for this amazing couple. Just like a snow day, they're fun, exciting and spread happiness. Can't wait for their wedding this spring!!
