Last night was such a good time! 🍷🪴

So many lovely ladies and gentlemen joined us at The Atlas Room lastnight for our Plant & Sip potting class and wine tasting! Everyone's pots turned out absolutely beautiful!

Huge thanks to Valerie at Atlas Room for inviting us. This space in Downtown Griffith was the perfect backdrop for an activity like this; so cozy and inviting, like a hidden gem you find on a trip somewhere tropical. It's a beautiful spot, and every cocktail they serve is beautifully made, as their staff is incredibly talented. 🌍🍸🌴

Whether you are looking for a new favorite bar, or a spot to host an event, the vibes are absolutely unmatched at Atlas Room ✨️

Our store hours this week! 🎃✨️🍁

This week, we are welcoming a new brand, Rouge & Rye perfumes!

We will have 6 different scents to choose from in rollerball format and 2 different scents in lotion! Stop in and find your newest signature scent for this season.
We are doing a trial run of this brand, so quantities are limited, and we'd love to hear your thoughts when you try them in-store!
Rouge & Rye will be available as of this Wednesday!

Today is the final Saturday of the 2024 Highland Art Walk. We've had a great time taking part in this over the Summer; we wish it could be every Saturday. We have met and hosted some incredibly talented people and tomorrow we are going out with a bang; it's a double header.

Our very own Brooke Batema, who has worked for Golden Afternoon since it opened, is a mixed media artist and will be showcasing her eclectic, modern work in a variety of forms and presentations. We are also pleased to host our friend Sue Aldritch, a lovely crafter whose holiday and seasonal themed home decor is a must have. She is as sweet as she is talented and we can't wait for you to meet her.

We open at 9. The Walk starts at 11 and goes to, well, whenever our guests feel like packing up. You can't tell an artist what to do!

Our Fall-o-ween Open House this weekend was so much fun! 🍂
Our Art Of Charcuterie event not only sold out, but the demand was so great we even added extra seats at the last minute, which brought us to a grand total of 30 attendees!

Everyone created such beautiful boards and had a blast with the pop-up bar, tended by Atlas Room. Valerie, the class instructor was a delight to host in our store. We'd like to thank all of you lovely people for attending! Stay tuned for another event with her and Atlas Room in the near future. 🍷

❄️🌨 Speaking of the future.. our Christmas Open House is scheduled for Sunday, November 3rd. Details still to be announced, but all we can say right now is that a certain jolly, red-suited gentleman with a white beard has told us he'll be stopping by, and the store will be transformed overnight into a magical Winter wonderland! 🎅

Honestly, I am so grateful for the love and support the store has gotten in just these past few months. Sometimes I feel like Golden Afternoon has been here for years. I am truly so lucky to be alive at this exact time and place.
Sometimes I need to sit down, take a breath, and look at all of this and make sure I'm not dreaming. 💛

Golden Afternoon's Falloween Open House begins tomorrow and lasts until Sunday! 🍂

We have a brand new look and a whole lot of new Autumn and Halloween decor and gifts making their debut, and a free kids crafting class all day for little ghouls and goblins ages 4-12 on Saturday!

And for those of you who signed up to our Art Of Charcuterie class, don't forget that it's this Sunday from 3 til 5. 🍷🧀🍇

As the Summer fades and cool weather sets in, our hearts are warmed by the love we've been shown by all of you. Here's to falling leaves, beers with friends by the fire, candy apples, and sweater weather!

It's a pleasurable problem to have, but the fact is, we have become too busy not to extend our hours! 🐇⏱️🌹
Golden Afternoon is now going to be open 7 days a week!

Starting September 3rd, our store hours will be:
Sunday - Monday 10am-3pm
Tuesday - Friday 9am-6:30pm
Saturday 9am-4pm

Please note that we will be closed on Sunday, September 1st, and Monday, September 2nd, for the holiday weekend.

Join instructor Valerie Gonzalez of The Atlas Room (formerly Charcuterie; Griffith IN) and learn how to design your own charcuterie board and take your holiday gatherings to the next level. Discover how to balance flavors, textures, and presentation to create a delicious masterpiece to take home!

Mocktails, cocktails, beer & wine will be served during this class.

This class takes place on Sunday, September 8th from 3-5pm
