Happy 10 years of hosting weddings!! In that 10 years we have probably had close to 300 weddings here at the barn. It is really surreal to think about the changes we have made to this beautiful historic barn and we still have so many plans for improvements in the future. Hello future,present and past clients!!

I would like to introduce myself as the new owner of BlackBox Events! My name is Cassey Davis. I’m a wife to my amazing husband, Zach, and a dog mommy to our fur baby, Oakley. I am a very proud Auntie to several little girls and my main man, Wade. I can honestly say, I would not be who I am or where I am today without my family and friends. All of you are my greatest supporters and motivators.

It wasn’t until 2020 as a covid bride, I found my true calling. Thanks to my mentor, Kathy Jansen-Frerker, for guiding me to my true potential giving me the opportunity to start working at Blackbox as an extra hand but then worked my way up to become a wedding consultant for the last 3 years. As time evolved, I welcomed the opportunity to take over the business and everything just fell in place from there. Since starting I’ve managed over a hundred weddings as a planner/decorator and at least 25 weddings as a “day-of” coordinator. My passion is to help organize your event to make life less overwhelming and more enjoyable. We will continue to offer planning and coordinating services along with silk floral arrangements for rental options.

I am feeling so humbled and honored to embrace this next journey in life as the new owner and operator of BlackBox Events. I’m extremely excited to see where I can take this company. As I get settled into this new role, I ask for your patience and understanding while I transition things over. I will be working hard to reaching out to future brides as well as current brides within the coming weeks. I am looking forward to working with each of you to make your wedding day as unique as you are. 😊

We have had Walter and Rose for 3 years now and they haven’t been successful in the mating department until this year. You might get a chance to see these cute little ones out on the lake in the next month or so. We have 3 so far that hatched yesterday and there are 4 eggs left to hatch. Update And another one hatched today!

Thank you everyone for coming out to the barn today for the Galentine’s sip and shop. We had absolutely no idea that so many people would show up. This is the first time we have rented the barn out for this type of event so we did not know what to expect. Thank you to everyone who remained patient and understanding through the process of trying to park everyone. It was completely out of our control and we did the best we could. Unfortunately some were very upset about the situation. We are truly sorry to anyone that got turned away and wasn’t able to come. We were at max capacity and could not safely park anyone else.
