Narrowing down the options for the garden is not easy. I have noticed in past seasons when I don’t worry about every little thing, Mother Nature makes up for my lack of expertise. I’m usually really happy with the magic that happens.

It always happens a little to fast for me. Seeing that first snow flake of the season. It hit my windshield this morning and startled me. That little wet snowflake was a reminder that I am not in control and change is inevitable. It has been a challenging few weeks. Lots of unexpected surprises, some expected and others almost unbearable. I know that there is a measure of freedom and peace when I can just let it be and love through it. 🤍

I wish I could be with my daughter right now. She is in TX at MD Anderson receiving treatments for cancer. I’m sending her these flowers virtually and reminding her that October is our favorite 🍁 you can do this my strong little mermaid and as our kindred spirit has said.. “I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” - Anne of Green Gables.
Can’t wait to see you soon 🍂🧡🍁 I see pumpkin spice in our future 🧡

Feeling the whimsy today.

You know when life gets hard it’s a good idea to have creative moments, breath some fresh air and connect with good people. I’m taking Betty’s advice. She was one person that made me smile and laugh. She was also wise.

Dahlias are looking so lovely going into the month of October. The season has gone by so fast! I feel so behind with my garden chores. I think I’m in denial. Can you believe that we only have a few more weeks to enjoy all the beautiful blooms?! 🍁♥️💕

It’s been a while since this photo was taken of Abbey. She was expecting her first baby. She is now the momma of three beautiful girls. She is truly one of my favorite people and I’m so grateful to call her my friend.
If you are the praying kind, my sweet friend has been fighting a courageous battle with stage four cancer. Her treatments are no longer working and she has been seeking alternative treatments at this time. She and her family could really use your positive thoughts and genuine prayers. I love you
