As I mentioned, a few months ago, some changes are coming....
This business isn't what I wanted it to be and it's never been. I just took jobs to try to make money & it's gone way off track.
◇So I am strictly focusing on what I wanted this business to be in the first place. I will only be taking Dress Alterations & Bridal Party Alterations. -Bridal Gowns, Bridal Party (yes the whole party, not just bridesmaids), & Any School Dance Dress (Prom, Homecoming, Spring Dance, etc)
◇There are also price increases. Everything has gone up lately & to be honest, I'm tired of working for free or barely making anything on a job. That's burning me out, working for very little pay by the time I buy materials.
I truly love doing this & the community needs a seamstress... BUT my time & skill is worth more than I've been allowing myself to have. (It's way less than minimum wage)
I have shorted myself for the last 6yrs & I'm about to be done with the business.
I am sorry if these changes anger you, but I have to do what is best for my business, my family, & myself.

Happy New Year!!!
Some Changes Are Coming to Aunt B's!! Stay Tuned for those, but for right now ⚠️The Shop Is Closed⚠️
December through February the shop is always closed.
Two reasons:
#1 Holiday Time is Family Time AND we have 2 kids with Birthdays in January
#2 When we have Snow/Ice the driveway is not something that I want Clients driving. If you don't have 4-wheel drive, it can be very tricky. My 1st yr being open, I had a client get stuck. I don't want to repeat getting out another client.

I will be open full swing for Prom Season! There will be PLENTY of time for shopping in store & getting your alterations scheduled. Although I do fill up fast for those. I HATE turning anyone away, but I can only take on so many dresses.

My calendar is Full for Prom Alterations!!!!
With At Least 4 Schools Proms being April 30th, at least 3 Schools Proms being May 7, & MANY weddings scheduled for May 7..... I'm swamped!
If I get them done in a good time & can take more, I will post; but there is NO promise in that.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with a very special bride! This Bride is so unbelievablely kind hearted!!! I never met the Groom, but I can assume he's just as wonderful as his Bride! This couple won the PAY IT FOWARD WEDDING!!!

The pay it forward wedding started when Kit Loch posted on facebook giving away her own wedding dress and decor items. Then Deinse Mootz with The Lake View Loft Event Venue donated their venue. Then many other small local businesses joined in to donate their services to give a couple a FREE wedding.

This is Eric and Holly, they were picked out of many couples to win the PAY IT FOWARD WEDDING. They were the perfect couple to be picked!!!

Holly has beaten cancer not once but twice; and yet is still such a joy to be around.

Here is a recent Bride's wedding photos, that I had the pleasure of doing her alterations!!!
These photos are just beautiful!!!! She was a show stopper in this gown! The gown had beautiful beading & tulle all over!!!😍
The alterations that were done were hemming multiple layers, shortening straps, & bustling.

Did you know that Aunt B can make a matching Bow Tie Or Long Tie, to go with your dress?
I love making matching Ties for Prom Dresses!!! It just makes your man's outfit POP with your Dresses!!!!
Now there are limitations, let me say that. I have to have a certain amount of fabric for either. If we are just cutting off an inch or two, that's not going to work. I have to have at least 5 or 6 inches for a bow tie. Then the long tie, I need 8 or more inches.

Hey All! I know we've been a little MIA since Covid started. We are operating by appointments only. Right now is Prom Season & I've been working hard to get these girl's dresses looking perfect! 😅
I am not taking any other alterations until May 11. If you have something other than a Prom Dress👗, we can go ahead & schedule an appointment; just know I can't get you in until I'm done with prom. Please remember that it's just one person working here & your patience is appreciated!
