Our deepest mahalo to @haaheo__ for bringing us back for our fourth year here at Kaimana’s May Day celebration. It’s always an honor to come and share with those who appreciate the work we do ❀ I also have to be the luckiest gal to have family like @angelpikake & @ancient.hawaiians hold it down & serve our community with lei. We work for days and all night leading up to this event- it’s our lei-bor of love 🥳 🌸🌿 great to see Iconic Legends @destash_hawaii @meleana_hawaii @hiehawaii teams work hard and kill it at their trunk shows. feeling normal & healthy again after an intense cold that had me down last week 😵💫🤧 I realized I needed much rest to recover and I’m thankful for that time to refresh and heal 🙏🏽 over the weekend I got back to work and had the privilege of helping a friend make this wreath for her dad’s celebration of life gathering. To work on something that honors someone’s life & memory was truly a special task and experience. She gathered plants sacred to her family (maile, koa & palapalai) which served as the base foliage. It was the first time I worked with maile so I made sure to do my best in assembling and designing this piece. Making this was incredibly rewarding to learn and I couldn’t help but to reflect on the lives of my own loved ones who passed on. I was grateful to get to pour my heart into this and glad she was happy with the final result 🦋🕊️🤍
