Before The Caterings and Banquets

Ace Catering and Banquets began in 2001 as a little pizza kitchen and catering service called Portside Grill and Pizzeria in Whiting, Indiana. At the time, company founder, Ray Kosinski and one other worker were the entire staff!

Over time, Ray started to cater little events and banquets locally, it was at this time that he decided to re-name the business Ace Catering and Banquets! Next, Ray started to obtain banquet facilities which now total seven, in the Chicago-land and Northwest Indiana areas. He also runs Kacey's Restaurant, which specializes in steak and seafood. It is located at the Lansing, Illinois Knights of Columbus! (Lakeside picnic grounds are also available at this location as well as banquet facilities.) Ray possess a large background in the catering industry and continues to perfect his craft. He is known for his excellence in food quality, original recipes, homemade cooking, big portion sizes, and low-cost. He specializes in versatility and authenticity of ethnic menus and offer diverse food packages including: Polish, Greek, Italian and Hispanic (alternatives are obtainable upon request). Ray takes pleasure in accommodating particular needs to ensure an excellent dining experience with exceptional service! Since expanding, Ace Catering and Banquets has an expert staff that incorporates: gifted cooks, a professional wait staff, and licensed and trained mixologists. They are known for their professionalism and a great reputation. One can always depend on a relaxed yet professional atmosphere throughout the duration of any event that Ace staffs and serves. Most importantly, you can always count on consistency from Ace Catering and Banquets. This dedicated man is so committed to quality and consistency that he does a considerable deal of cooking himself. He always monitors food preparation to ensure a constant product to all of his customers. Whether there is an event of fifty or five hundred guests one can relax confident that the performance is at one hundred percent in all areas of service. Ace Catering and Banquets supplies a full range of food services from private family cookouts to big company events to formal black-tie events. Ray takes pleasure on being able to meet ALL of his customers needs and always perform to one hundred percent of his possible capacity. We have even taken part as vendors at the famous Pierogi Festival in Whiting, Indiana which was highlighted on Food Network across the nation and overseas! Ray continues to grow with new, original ways to expand his skills. His dedication and commitment to his work is evident to all who know him. He is reliable and accommodating, but most of all organized and efficient. He will never compromise the quality of food or service for any reason. He meets the needs of his guests always and extends that thoughtfulness and care to his workers as well. He is unique and that is shown through in his high esteem for Ace Catering and Banquets. He will continue to aspire for excellence and always have that continuing objective: to provide exceptional food and service at a low-cost for all of their future customers and visitors. For Ray, this is not hard labor, this is doing what he loves!
