Our Story

Donor/Prospect Researcher ~ Community/Public Relations ~ SMM/SEO ~ Event Management ~ Real Estate. My professional career began in the legal sector working as a legal secretary and later as a paralegal in prominent Grand Rapids law firms in insurance defense, litigation, estate planning, and divorce & family law. In 1991, I began working for Meijer, in commercial real estate property acquisitions, 1031 exchanges, private label, airplane acquisitions, and employee relocations. In the 90’s, I naturally fell into the title insurance industry, working as a commercial account executive and escrow officer. In 1995, I became the business development director for the City of Grand Rapids for the DMBI. In 1997 – 2003, I worked for various companies in commercial real estate property management, as a due diligence coordinator and witness only closer. In 2003 – 2007, I served as a national tenant placement representative, real estate developer, site selection & acquisitions. Entrepreneurial passion & purpose came to be in 2005, when I started Lakeshore Events, organizing corporate and charity events, golf outings, and weddings. Later I focused on boat shows and expos. In 2011, I was the Director of Development at AgeWell Services (a/k/a Meals on Wheels). 2013, I moved to Compass College of Cinematic Arts, a Christian Evangelical Film Making College, again in Development. 2014, I began grant writing, prospect research and donor relations for various secular and non-secular lakeshore nonprofit organizations. May 2015, I became the education program manager position along the lakeshore for Junior Achievement working with K-12 students in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, workforce readiness, and STEM, I organized the JA GIrl's Dream Fair in March 2016 bringing in over 75 female STEM professionals to mentor 300 girls. July 2016, I became the Director of Banquet and Event Operations at Butternut Event Centre by Lakeshore Events. I book and plan events at Butternut Event Centre e.g. weddings, quinceaneras, reunions, business meetings, funerals, wakes, graduation parties, charity galas anniversary and birthday parties. As a major networker and #superconnector, I offer professional advice regarding P2P, B2B, B2C, as well as SMM & SEO, fund development, recruitment and many other roles.
