We spent the majority of the weekend working on some AMAZING outside projects here at HG and dang if I wish I couldn't actually move this fast! The snowball effect was so so real (which let's be honest, when is it not with me?!) What started as a semi-simple, probably could have had it done in two days The project grew into multiple projects wrapped into one which is making our place look so much more inviting!
So thankful when I work with people who just see the vision and keep the ball rolling. The creative juices are on and this is only going to get better from here! Follow along as we create not one but TWO garden spaces to make all of your wedding dreams come true 😍

2023! This year was one for the books. We loved, we learned, we finished projects, but most of all we worked with some of the most amazing couples, friends, and vendors on the planet! I wasn't really sure how to cram it all into one video but we did the best that we could. So so incredibly thankful for each and every one of you for celebrating with us, cheering us on and being a reason for us to just keep pushing! As a business owner and a mama, "days off" are basically non-existent, but there are some days like today where I take advantage of my littlest sleeping in, slow mornings, and limited days. Yes, I still had to answer phone calls and emails, run to the bank, put in a few orders and pay bills, but to me that feels like a day off!

Northwest Ohio weather...am I right?? I started setting up for a Microwedding picnic at Holland Gardens earlier this afternoon and Mother nature had other plans. I had a cute table set-up started, came inside to grab a few things and meet with one of my brides for a minute, and looked outside and it was pouring down rain! After running outside to clean up what I had started the wind picked up and I thought that there was no hope for this wedding to be in our garden!
Fast-forward 30 minutes, the sun was shining, the sidewalk was drying up, our couple showed up, and it turned out to be the perfect intimate wedding.
That being said, I am so happy that we are always prepared. Created a brand new table with a few minutes to spare! Breakthrough Images Wedding + Lifestyle Photography and I are loving these microweddings and are so thankful for our weekday couples 🤍 huge thanks to 7 Little Cupcakes- Official for the cutest cake.

I can't breathe 🤍 We have had so many incredible events, weddings, photoshoots and more at Wildflower Estate and it still takes my breath away. I never actually believe that we are in NW Ohio! This weekend we had the pleasure of a styled shoot planned and executed by the incredible @kristyann. We had three separate settings, and each of them were out of this world, but the behind the scenes I caught of the Countryside Elopement has my heart.

Full disclosure... We acquired Holland Gardens over a year and a half ago and I've never actually seen our event space totally empty until last week. They say good things take time, and this was absolutely worth the wait.
When we first looked at the space I was not intimidated by a room full of chaos, loud carpet and the 90s vibes. I was inspired! My goal was to create the most beautiful blank canvas which could adapt to any event and I can honestly say that all of the white, clean, crisp lines, the natural woods, and the pops of industrial did just that.
If you would have told me last January that I'd be looking at such a large, luxurious space I don't know of I would have believed you. With the help of our staff, contractors and those of you who have cheered us on along the way we have brought our vision to life.
We still have more than I want to accomplish but for today I am going to admire the venue in all of its glory.

The rest of the venue is great; one big blank canvas, which was exactly what we planned, but the bridal suite, with our own spin on it... Chefs kiss! My favorite part of showing couples and their families the venue is their face when they get to the top of those stairs. It really just gets me every time.

Today I am just extra thankful! When my husband sent me the listing for what we now call, Wildflower Estate, I could just feel it in my bones that it had so much potential! We love celebrating with big parties at HG but today just made me realize how much I love a good intimate wedding.
The property at Wildflower is insanely beautiful and serene on its own but a few small touches and we were able to create such a beautiful, unforgettable day for not only our couple but for us too! Though it's not always easy running a business (or two) with our kiddos day in and day out it sure makes it so much more worth it. My biggest little loves seeing all of the "pretty dresses" and my little just lights up watching everyone walk by and wave.

The estate currently sleeps up to 10 guests. We have a beautiful master bedroom suite, along with four other bedrooms furnished with queen beds. The master bedroom not only has a huge private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, but also a private entrance to the front porch, with views like these. Each additional bedroom has private woodsy views. The house is tucked way back off of the road, behind two ponds. One fully stocked fishing pond and one swimming pond. This 6700 square foot home has a full kitchen, dining table, a lounge area, multiple fire pits and plenty of serenity.

I had a vision. I searched and searched online for photos to create and share a mood board with the team who would be helping me bring this vision to life. I found a few key components, the perfect team of professionals to help, and we started grinding. There were A LOT of "no's," a lot of undoing, and a lot of added or adjusted projects or to make this space perfect. The one thing that hasn't changed is that vision. My goal is to create the perfect space for a bride and her favorite people to spend an unforgettable day together.
