Dolby Theatre is located within the Hollywood & Highland Center, which consists of over 640,000 square feet of space featuring national, regional and local retail tenants, a variety of restaurants, several of Hollywood’s hottest nightclubs, a six screen state-of-the-art cinema adjacent to the world-famous TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly known as Grauman’s) and the 640 room Loews Hollywood Hotel. A gifted guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist, Martik is known for his unmistakable “makhmali” (velvet) voice—marked by a unique tonality, tenderness, and emotional depth—that has resonated with audiences across generations.
Having begun his professional career at the age of fifteen, Martik rose to prominence in the 1970s, introducing elements of classic rock and R&B to Iranian audiences and giving new life to contemporary Persian songwriting through his own original, haunting melodies.
