🌵🥑🪅 Here's a great idea for this year’s Company Picnic! Beat the heat - book a weekday event (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 in Callaway, MD for a F𝐔N F𝐈E𝐒T𝐀! Everyone can make their own custom burrito bowl with a wide variety of toppings! We do all the work – you have all the fun.

👉 No coordinating work parties, co-workers' dishes, dragging coolers and setting up in the heat, or canceling due to bad ⛈ weather. We take care of the location, food, setup, décor, and bar if needed. 𝑶𝒓 we can make some 𝐦o𝐜k𝐭a𝐢l𝐬🍹 that taste as good as the real thing!

Haleigh Vance grew up in Washington state, and has lived all over the country, but has called Maryland home for 13 years with her husband and 3 kids.

She has an Etsy business making and selling storybook signs. Which she has done for 11 years, alongside being a stay-at-home mom.

Her hobbies include woodworking, kayaking, raising chickens, and hiking. But her happy place is in the garden.

Kathy Raley Ellis is a hometown resident. After living in Virginia and Florida, she married her husband, Don, and convinced him to move back home to Maryland. They are both retired but that doesn't stop them from staying busy. Between juggling her home life and volunteer schedule she stays active and busy. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, wine tasting, bird watching, and flower gardening.

💕 On Saturday we delivered a 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 to a family in Hollywood who recently lost their grandmother. Meal included Stuffed Shells (with garden salad, garlic bread, dessert), Chicken Florentino w/creamy spinach sauce (mashed potatoes, garden salad, dessert), and Chicken Nuggets w/Mac & Cheese for the kids.

Growing up on a picturesque farm in the 7th District, Janet Phetteplace learned the value of hard work early on. From toiling in the to***co fields from sunup to sundown to tending a one-acre garden, these formative experiences instilled a robust work ethic and a deep appreciation for the land.

Janet’s professional journey is marked by a commendable 39-year tenure with the UFCW labor union in Washington, DC. She recently retired on March 1, 2024.

Janet enjoys various hobbies, including dancing, softball, volleyball, hiking, pickleball, and the beach. Whether hitting the beach or working out at the gym, Janet embraces an active lifestyle. Family is at the heart of Janet’s life, she will be celebrating her 39th wedding anniversary in November with her wonderful husband. They raised 2 hard-working boys, and have 2 bonus daughters-in-law, 5 gorgeous grandkids, and two beloved fur babies.

Janet prioritizes family and community and cherishes every moment spent with loved ones. This rich personal history and professional dedication make Janet a unique and invaluable asset to our team.
