This will be the third wreath workshop.Nov 30th, Dec 1 st , and 3rd.
Let me tell you a little bit about how to make your own wreath with us!!
1. First, create a base with greenery in a design of your choice.
Ex)The top of the wreath can be designed to make some empty space, or the amount of greenery can be varied throughout the wreath.
Make it look like the moon,
You can neatly hide all the bases and fluff them up with greenery.
2, Add ornaments to give it a personal touch.
3, You can choose from many colors and types of ribbons to coordinate with your wreath,
We will ask you about the size and design, make it to fit your wreath, help you attach it to the wreath, and then we’re done!
It is a more enjoyable time than you may think.Why not try making one of your own with us this year?

The holiday season is about to begin.We have been shop closed since February of this year and have expanded our store a bit,
the Experience Bar has been transformed into a gallery and event space.We will be offering holiday wreath workshops and a holiday gift store Event in this space ,the shop will open from November 16th to December 8th from 12pm to 5pm.
The only closing during the opening period will be on Thanksgiving Day.
We will be selling our original matcha and hoji tea powder at a special price during this event!!
You will be able to select from a wide range of exclusive products that you can only find online.

It has been a while since we reopened in May with a new name, Hanatabi.
Although the Experience Bar is no longer open, we continue to sell our products and Nature Metal Works beautiful jewelry, so if you are interested in purchasing any of our products, please feel free to contact us by phone or via Instagram DM.

Our collaboration space with Tomi from will finally reopen on May 12.

The shop is still under renovation right now, but we look forward to seeing you all at our stop soon.
Today,I would like to share with you the name of our new project with jewelry designer Tomi.
HANA TABI by a la maison
Hana(花) means ‘flower’ in Japanese.
Tabi(旅) means ‘journey’ in Japanese.
In English, Journey through the nature [ JTN ]
Each person is on their own journey.
Traveling is by plane, car, boat, or train but also everybody is receiving messages from nature in the simple everyday life, and being taught by nature and continuing to grow is a journey in itself...
The great blessings of nature,
we thought this name is the best expression of who we are.
Tomi and I have lived different lives but despite our differences, we have been on the same wavelength, try to know the feeling and our sense for nature,
More and more the hearts to love nature is deeply connected.
I think that’s how we came up with this name.

The wind is pleasant.
The rain is comfortably cold
The rainbow is simply beautiful.
The clouds shapes adorable
The moon is silently brightening.

Rather, if there was no sun,
Can you survive? ?

If you keep talking about the importance of nature, you’ll never run out.I have nothing but gratitude for the world of nature.
Tomi and I are always in dialogue with nature.And each of them continues to create different works with nature as our theme.
We will be exhibiting, selling, and introducing carefully selected, nature-inspired items in our store that are unchanged from before.
We occasionally offer opportunities to experience Japanese culture through events,as a place where you share various art and teas with everyone.
Our place will have different face in Mid-May.
Feel a different kind of joy coming soon! !

Today, March 3, is Girls’ Day, a day to pray for the health of girls and to ward off misfortune and evil. In ancient China, people abhorred days with the same odd number on both the month and the day, and various events were held to drive away evil spirits on such days. According to the legend that came from China, the days when odd numbers coincided with each other began to be celebrated in Japan about 1,000 years ago as ceremonial days for purifying evil spirits. About 600 years ago, the day became the prototype for Girls’ Day, which is still celebrated today.
In 1600, after the Warring States Period, when Japan was at peace, it became a popular celebration among the common people as “Hinamatsuri,” which is similar to the current form of the festival. The family celebrates by eating and drinking delicious food together,
They celebrated happiness and exorcised bad luck.

In Japan, this important custom still remains today.
We hope that everyone will celebrate in their own way, giving thanks for small happiness, blowing away the bad luck around you, and bringing more happiness into your life.

As the new year 2024 began, it has been two full years since the Ala Maison store began.
We have had many local customers and people from all over the United States come to visit our store.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for visiting our small store.
We are pleased to announce that we will be closing our store on January 28th.
We will be renovated and reborn as a new store.The online store will remain the same and we will continue to accept orders.
We will also take custom-made flower designs order in advance via email.Please feel free to contact us for more information.We are not yet able to share with you our plans for re-opening, but we sincerely look forward to seeing you again in the near future at the same location.

2024年が明けて、アラメゾンがオープンして、丸2年が経ちました。地元のお客様、そして、アメリカ全土からも、たくさんの方にお店に遊びに来ていただきました。小さなお店に、足をお運びいただけた事、心から、感謝申し上げます。この度、1月31日をもって、一旦お店を閉じることになりました。

Since 2004, Touch A Heart, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been offering informal social services and meals to homeless individuals and families at Blaisdell Park, Waianae Boat Harbor, and the Kumuhonua Shelter.In 2014, they adopted a new mission and strategy, then revamped their organization’s activities to address the unique situation of those with barriers to employment, including incarceration, homelessness and substance abuse. They partner with organizations that have underutilized commercial kitchens to conduct their food services : baker’s heart :vocational training and apprenticeship programs.

An exhibition and pop-up store, a collaboration of accessories and à la maison plant art,from 10/3 to 10/8. We are pleased to introduce its wonderful accessory artists.
: Ms.Tomi Bratland :
For over 20 years, Tomi has been creating her original designs, Simple yet elegant forms of nature that are sculpted and expressed through silver, gold, and other metals to create unique pieces to be worn anywhere, and on any occasion.
Currently based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tomi established design studio and gallery Nature Metalworks, located across from the Honolulu Museum of Art where she continues to create new designs and feature seasonal exhibitions collaborating with established local artists and craftsmen across a range of disciplines.
Tomi’s journey started with her creations featured in the jewelry artists’ corner at Le Bon Marche in Paris following participation in the international jewelry artists festival in Montpellier, France. In addition to continuously evolving her own designs, she embarked on various collaborations such as Kimono accessories for Mina Perhonen Japan, Objects of nature for the production MUJI concept book, and accessories for Jurgen Lehl Stonehouse collection.
Her works continue to be featured around the globe through various exhibitions in Asia, the USA and Europe. Recent solo exhibitions have brought her back to her roots of timelessness and simplicity in Japan, and have been featured at galleries in Ginza, Kyoto, Osaka, and Kanagawa.

From tomorrow, "essence of nature week" will be held until 10/8.
The theme of the event is nature, and we will cherish and respect nature more by tasting and seeing beautiful nature designs. The exhibition features the beauty of nature à la maison to inspire such thoughts.
For three days from tomorrow, we will be holding "rose rose rose
Japanese rose called Wabara and rose tea from Japan.
Touching roses, we return to nature.
We would be happy if you could be intoxicated by the fragrance and beauty for three days with such a concept.
