What is The Ikaika Classic? Bodybuilding athletes from throughout Hawaii and mainland United States will be coming

to compete in this show. There will be approximately 180-200 competitors, in different classes, from Men’s and Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, Physique and Bikini divisions. This is all day adventure for all who want to participate. The daytime activities will build the excitement for the night show. When and Where is the show? This national qualifier bodybuilding show takes place on Saturday June 17, 2017 at the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall, 777 Ward Avenue Honolulu, HI 96814. The Prejudging Show is from 8 a.m.‐1 p.m., the Main Event is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Who will be in the audience? Anyone who would like to attend! The audience will be filled with bodybuilding enthusiasts, health conscious people, buyers, with an audience of onlookers that support the participants that want to look good, feel good and care about their appearance. How many attendees? The gorgeous Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall holds approximately 2200 seats, we will have a modest 1500 people attend with approximately 180-200 competitors in the evening and there will be a daytime prejudging attendance of approximately 800 people.

Unless they’ve done this, no one can really understand the complexities of prepping for a show. In the same day you can feel like you’re gonna win, feel too fat, feel too skinny, question why you’re even competing, go back to thinking you’re gonna win, be proud of yourself for your progress, upset that you’re not further along, tired, energized, weak, strong… you can feel EVERY emotion in one day. And as you get closer to show day, that happens pretty much every day 😅
Which is why I feel very blessed and privileged to have gone through it all knowing Kora was going through it too, and that we were able to lean on each other throughout this experience.
Could write a much longer post, but to keep it simple, I’m proud of us and thankful we’ve gone through this together. Now let’s crush the stage and take what’s ours! 🔥

Went over to Iron Hawaiian Fitness this past weekend to see what all the buzz was about with owner Mark Kenolia and there competitors entering the Maui Classic on May 8 at the Hawaii Theatre. Well, the buzz was the contest excitement with less than 3 weeks away from the big day.
