As we close out the year, I’m still ever so grateful for all the magical moments I’ve experienced on the island since I moved here a little over two years ago. Every day comes with a new experience, a new memory, a new interaction, a new challenge and new perspectives, but most importantly, each day comes with a bit of magic and awe. Mahalo to my island and mainland ‘ohana, friends and clients who make this life magical 🫶. Looking forward to seeing you in the new year!

So proud of this mana wahine, Kea of Kakou Collective, who I met virtually during the start of the pandemic in 2020!

I was extremely impressed with her creativity and talent. So much so I became one of her original patrons and have continued to patronize her business throughout the years. Today, I was able to take her lettering class again - in-person this time!

Mahalo for kickstarting the creative juices again and ho’omaika’i ‘ana on your continued success and new headquarters! I will be back soon 🫶

For those who are new to my IG page, I wanted to reintroduce myself…my name is Arleen and I am the owner and head lei-maker of Haumea Designs.

My small business was started in 2013 to provide a creative outlet from my tech day job and to support requests from coworkers and friends to create floral arrangements for weddings, graduation ceremonies and special events. It has since morphed to creating custom lei and floral arrangements, holding pop-ups and hosting lei-making workshops.

On island, we provide custom lei po’o for photoshoots - weddings, family photos, surprise engagements (love these!), graduations and other special moments.

We will be popping up at a couple venues this December to bring our signature holiday ti leaf wreaths and other holiday goodies. So stop by and say aloha! Locations, dates and times will be announced soon!
