Thinking about a destination wedding? Here are 3 things to keep in mind! 🏝️

1) Consider guest lodging. 🏠

You’re not responsible for paying for your guest’s accommodations, but choosing a venue that isn’t too far from potential hotels, is a nice thing to do for your guests.

2) How are you getting the dress to the wedding? 💍

If you will be traveling with your dress on the plane, DO NOT check it! The worst thing ever would be the airline loses your luggage, with your dress in it 😭 so make sure that baby is flying via carry on!

3) Do you want to plan additional events? 🥳

Since all (or most) of your loved ones are gonna be with you, you might as well plan other events 💃🏼 such as welcome party, day-after-wedding party, a family brunch, group excursions etc. Time to vacay! ☀️

Cheers!! 🥂 So you’re getting married?
Here are the first things you should do after getting engaged:

1. Celebrate! 🥂 Duh! Don’t rush into the wedding planning process before you’ve properly celebrated with your hunny.

2. Set a budget. No one likes to talk money, but unfortunately it has to be done. Your budget will impact which vendors you choose, your guest list, etc, so figure it out early in the planning process.

3. Pick a date! When you reach out to vendors and venues, you want to have a date to reserve your spot 🤓

… and when it’s time to reach out to vendors, you know who to call 😉

Here’s a tip for helping your wedding photographer out:

Know which formal family photos you want on your big day, and write them down!

Capturing photos of the fam can be a lengthy process, but it doesn’t have to be! By having a list, it makes the whole thing easier on you, your photographer, and your whole wedding team. You don’t want formal pics cutting into cocktail hour time, but getting pics with Grandma and Pa is important!! 🫶

Trellis Flowers designs florals for weddings that are both beautiful AND sustainable!

They are part of the “foam free” movement, meaning they believe in sourcing florals that are grown in natural and ecologically appropriate environments, and they reduce waste through floral repurposing. So cool!!

Tiffany and Brian included drinks for each of their kitties; Doug and Kevin.

Serving signature drinks at your wedding is a creative way to serve some bubbles, and just so fun!!

You can choose drinks for your pets 🐶, to match a wedding theme, your colors, to honor late family members ❤️, or to add some of your personality to the big day.

Here are 3 tips for choosing a venue that you’ll LOVE:

1. Choose a location that feels like HOME. 💗

Or somewhere you always dreamed of visiting?! (Cough cough, the Gorge 😉) We think choosing a part of the world that feels familiar or celebrates your love is really special.

2. If you can, go do a site tour! 👀

Being able to stand in the physical space, feel the feels, smell the smells, and picture you and your beloved on your wedding day, will give you an inclination of how you’ll feel on the day itself.

3. Can’t visit the venue but know you love the area? 💞

STALK the heck out of it! Yes I’m talking instagram, the venue website, etc etc but l’m also telling you get on google earth and really GET IN THERE 🤓. You can also reach out to a trusty wedding planner and we’ll help give you all the info you desire!

The Griffin House is a *stunning* cliffside wedding venue in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge.

Photo booths are a great addition to a wedding for a few reasons!
