Well folks last Saturday marked the end of our first season running Krust Dog's . We can't thank everyone who supported us enough! Be it our repeat costumers, new customers, event organizers, workers/volunteers, ect. You all made our first season an exciting and smashing success! We had lots of fun, but now starts the process of packing it away for the winter and analyzing our numbers. I won't lie to you good people, but the current economy has made this whole adventure very difficult so we are not sure what the future holds! Cheers to you all, and hopefully more seasons to come! 🤘😁

We always try to soure the best products possible to keep our food at the highest of standards. Luckily for anyone who comes out tomorrow and orders a dog/sausage tomorrow with tomato on it will be in for a special treat, as all of are tomatoes are freshly sourced local tomatoes from Longfellows Gardens, and while you're at it head over & give them a like/follow so you to can support a locally owned small business!

Let's have a fun look at how us at Krust Dog's come up with the names/inspiration of our hot dogs & sausages by looking at Saturday the 17th's menu:

•• The Snoop Dogg •• >>> "I'm a huge hip-hop fan (East Coast over West Coast 🤷‍♂️) The first two albums I had purchased and put on repeat were Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" & Wu-Tang Clan's "36 - Chambers" so when I had a smoked sausage on my menu plan, I was listening to hip-hop radio & Snoop came on. So I decided to pay homage to the world's greatest smoker by designing a smokey & tasty treat!"

•• The Flamin' Homer •• "When I was in junior high school, I'd come home, get ripped and watch The Simpsons. Usually while munching a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos, So the memories of that inspired me to create something that would match Homer's great invention....which of course we all know is....(You guessed it!) The Flamin' Homer!"

•• The Outfit •• "The wife & I love visiting Chicago (we do it several times a year) and as a gangster history buff I've always been fascinated by Al Capone & The Chicago Outfit. The only things more iconic to Chicago's history are the Italian beef sandwich & the Chicago Dog. Of course when owning a hot dog stand, the Chicago Dog is a must, but I wanted to replace the traditional sport peppers with hot giardiniera to pay respect to the Italian heritage of the city. 🤌

•• The Odessa Dog •• "Chili dogs are by far my favorite, and they are also a must for a legitimate hot dog stand. Being my favorite coupled with the fact I was born in Odessa, TX it seemed like a no brainer pay homage to the greatest state in The Union with a chili dog that would make any Texan proud!!!"

•• Dori-Locos•• "It's no big secret that I absolutely love Mexican food & Mexico. We have traveled there every year, for the past six years. Currently with my food trucks set up & county regulations I can't produce tacos and such, so I took a deep dive and found one of the most popular street foods in Mexico is The Dori-Locos (Look them up sometime to see just how wild they make there's down there) Either way this was the one way I could pay homage to my love for Mexican cuisine & culture!"
