Santa Minis was a success!! 🎅❤️

Thank you everyone who joined us today, making this donation event as successful as it is!! With your help, we raised $1,000 total give half of the amount to the Fein family and the other half to Sylvia’s place in honor of Mimi Gabriel 💜

If you were one of the 53 families that joined us, you will be receiving your images within this week! Santa Minis are tomorrow and I wanted to share a preview of the backdrop! 😍
I took tester photos of my daughter a month ago when the new backdrop I purchased came in the mail! Hope you all love it! Figured I would share in case you guys want to pick outfits based on the background 🤗

We invite all of our community to come attend our second Annual Santa event on Saturday, December 14th from 9am-12pm located at Main St. Bakery in Hopkins.
147 W Main St, Hopkins, MI 49328

A little something special with this event that we did last year is ALL FUNDS raised at this event will be donated fully to a local community member of the Dorr/Wayland/Hopkins area. I am open to suggestions for a community member that is in need this holiday season, so please send me an email if you have suggestions (I also asked for suggestions on the form when you sign up for a time slot, as well!)

My sister and her beautiful family ❤

You guys know I have been a photographer for a long time (12 years to be exact 🤗) and since the very beginning, they are always my subjects to test things on for my business!! Whether it's a new camera I buy or a new lens! But this time, I wanted updated photos of them 😉 AND to practice my editing workflow of using photoshop!

I have always ONLY used lightroom when editing, and yes, I love my photos... but I am always willing to learn new things and update my skillset in my job and I think photoshop is something I need to get that "finishing look" for all my photos!

So, starting now I will be doing this for every client I take photos of! You probably can't tell the difference, but I see it and LOVE IT! And let me just say Photoshop is a huge learning curve, it has always scared me, so I never tried to learn, but it is time!!

And I am very particular and VERY CRITICAL of my own work. I overshot when I take the photos, and I over deliver when you receive the gallery... and that is because I WANT MY CLIENTS TO BE HAPPY and love the photos when they receive their images from me. So yes, I may take a little bit longer to edit the gallery cause I'm being picky with my edits LOL plus now adding photoshop to the mix is going to take a little time to get used to, but I hope you think it's worth the wait when you do receive them! ❤

Anyway, just wanted you to know what I have been working on lately! And I am excited to start this workflow and add photoshop for all clients images!

Sidenote: We took these photos when it was almost dark, it was freezing and cold, and everything was wet cause it snowed that morning and by evening it almost all went away but everyone was all smiles and happy to take photos for their TT and sister 🥰❤ Love my family so much!!

GUYSSS I have been waiting my whole 12-year career of photography to take the Rewa family pictures!!! And we all had so much fun 😄 I'm obsessed with their gallery; I couldn't narrow down to small sneak peek LOL so enjoy scrolling though a huge sneak peek of the Rewa Family!

And he is also my last senior I captured of this school year! 24 seniors total!
There was more people than I can count that asked about scheduling with me but I had to turn a lot of people away because there isn't enough days in a week to fit everyone in. 🥲 Plus I stop capturing senior sessions in the middle of November because yearbook typically wants the photo turned in by the beginning of December.

So PSA to all next year seniors, I already have 3 seniors booked for the graduating class of 2026!!!! So book with me in advance if you want me to capture your senior next year, to ensure a spot in my calendar!!!

Owen ✨ Uniquely YOU

Owen and his family were one of the two families that won a free mini Uniquely YOU session from a very generous person who wanted to stay anonymous that gave this generous donation ❤ And we used it well! We had so much fun at the park together! When Owen first arrived, he jumped out of the car, and instantly ran to the park and was shouting "PLAYGROUND!!!!" with the biggest smile on his face!! So, it was safe to say, the park was a great choice to snap pictures of a very happy boy! 😄 I followed Owen around wherever he wanted to go, and we snapped a few family pictures (quick 😉)! We got ALL THE SMILES because he was doing what he loves running around and playing with his siblings, mom and dad!

Also, Cassidy was so nice and said that I could bring my family if I wanted and have Owen and my son James meet! They both have Autism and close in age and we figured it would be fun to have us all together playing.... And it was such a fun time, even though they didn't really acknowledge each other LOL Which is what we expected HAHA but it was still so cute them meeting! And I enjoyed meeting Cassidy as well!

These kinds of shoots bring me so much joy back into my work and I can't wait for next April to host this annual shoot again! 😍

Everything... down to every detail was perfect. The way Tyler cried when he saw Paige. How go-with-the-flow they were the entire day. How they partied with their friends. How they celebrated with their family. It was all so perfect. It was such an honor to be there capturing it all!
