Front Street Concerts

Front Street Concerts Front Street Concerts is a medium capacity, live music venue. Events are held several times a year in the barn or house. Most events include a full meal.

All our concerts are "suggested donation" and %100 of all donations go to the artist. We are committed to providing a quality venue for both performers and audience alike. We want our events to be supportive of musicians, offer them an opportunity to share their music, generate new fans and entertain their old ones. Our unique setting of house, barn (with stage, lighting and chairs) and decks as w

ell as a large, open yard and plenty of parking provides many types of concert options. Cooking is also a passion so almost all of our events include full menu. We believe that great music is all around us and that there is nothing as wonderful as live music in an intimate setting. That is certainly true at our concerts. All money that comes in goes directly to the performers. We assume all event related costs (food, rentals, ) ourselves. Performers can expect to be treated respectfully, provided a hassle-free gig with a good audience. Our events enjoy a good mix of returning people and new.

We want to let you know that we are closing Front Street Concerts.Thank you for 12 yrs of great shows, performers & supportive friends, Many things just changed over the last two years and it was difficult imagining starting up again next year. We are saving a small stage and the sound system in case we have "pop up" shows, but really it is the end. One Love always.

Hi everyone. We just want to let you know that we are not planning to have any shows this summer. We really thought a lot about it but we have two major things happening which are interconnected and time sensitive.
First, we contracted and put a significant deposit on a new, larger and better graded driveway that was to have been done in October.
But before that happened we started experiencing a shortage of water at the house. It ended up to not be just a simple fix but we have to frack the well and that takes a 10 wheel truck that weighs more than a cement truck. It would have to go across the front yard and down into the back. We were lucky to find out before the driveway was made because a new driveway has to cure before heavy traffic. So the plan was wait until then ground froze ( since it was boggy after a rainy summer and fall) and do the fracking and then the driveway would be done in April.
Unfortunately, we just haven’t gotten the frozen ground. A few cold days and then more days above freezing are’t doing it. So this will not allow us to even do the backup timeline as well as there will be no opportunity to cure before having a lot of cars on it.
So we are just going to let this season go and continue to make the place better. Deck work and two new bathrooms are also in the works.
One good thing is it will give us the opportunity to go to other places and see more of what is happening. We have let all the people to whom we had promised a show know if this change. This is a bumme. We all were feeling like we would be having another nice musical summer , but let’s count in that for next year.
NOTE: We WILL continue cooking classes, guest instructors as well as myself for cooking and arts workshops for limited group of vaccinated people. We will keep you updated in that.

This beautiful person will be here on September 18. It is hard to pick a favorite song ...there are so many. We can all relate to her words and while they bring joyful, sensitive, fierce, tear inducing, uplifting and sometimes painful memories...her words are true. Every release of hers reflects on a period of time in our lives that that we can go back to and nod in agreement..."We know this. We get this. This is me. This is us.".

8 years ago, how?!
From about 2006-2016 I hardly sang at all. After a few years of busking and driving and temping, I’d slowly lost the why of it all. And then, having kids and being "stuck" at home in the early years of parenting clarified some things for me and gave me much to ponder and sing about that I might not have otherwise. Coming back to music now, after these past 15 months, reminds me in some ways of the feelings I had around the time this picture was taken. I am so eager and happy and slightly nervous to sing for you again. I've missed it!
I will bring the big guitar for these upcoming shows:
6/6 Concerts at Black Birch Vineyard Dar Williams (w/Lisa Bastoni opening)
6/26 Passim Streams Lisa Bastoni Backyard Birds EP Release (Live from )
Thanks to everyone who has listened to the Backyard Birds EP! It's available on Bandcamp now (link in bio), and will be out everywhere else on June 25.

Hey everyone ...executive decision. We are selling the big tent. 20X40 professional. Frame tent (can abut a building and no center poles.
The heavy top is in 3 parts and can be made into a 20X20 without the center section. The three sections are each in a bag. We bought it used from a tent company for $2500 and it is basically in the same , sued condition. Had fireproof information too.
Serious inquiries only.

I think we might have an event! As many of you know we have used our home over the years for some things other than music. Cooking classes, soapmaking, fundraising barn dinners etc. Wtih life and event pretty much up in the air for a few more weeks we have come up with a fun, "vax and masked" outdoor event for a limited number of people. This will be a felting class with Maire Anne Diamond. We hope to do this in the first two weeks of May with a second class if we need to. Because it will be outside on our deck, this two hour class will be held during the day. I am trying to gauge how many people are interested. I will be cross posting and also doing a newsletter for tomorrow. The cost for the class will be $50 which will include all materials and the tools that you will keep. As I get feedback, I will create a proper event and sign up along with date and time. This class will be limited to 10 people. Vaccinations will be required and we will follow safe protocols,as always. . If you have not been fully vaxxed and in your safe zone by that time, we will be creating another class for a later date. A bio on Maire Anne will be forthcoming with the event page. (We are committed to being a place for fully vaxxed people, instructors and performers to gather safely) We hope you will join us as soon as you are ready. We also have some music things to plan out but are waiting on MA state guidelines for the summer.
