The Hoquiam VFW Sunday Night Jams is a Showcase and Open Mic for all things Musical for the Greater Grays Harbor area. This Weekly event is hosted by Gene and Evan and the "Magic in Madness" project. The Hoquiam VFW is a historic and famous venue that has been an Important part of Grays Harbor for nearly a Century. We will be working hard to highlight local and regional talent in a friendly and
welcoming atmosphere. Host can provide backup band for solo vocalists in many instances. Plenty of top notch and vintage gear available for use. No need to bring anything but your favorite instrument. Stop by and take the stage for your 15 minutes of Fame or just to enjoy the entertainment. Just make sure to check in upon arrival. Sign ups start at 6:15 pm. Arrive early for the best slots or to make any special arrangement or requests. SUNDAY NIGHT JAM RULES
We have a rare opportunity to create something special here that will be beneficial and fun for all those involved. To accomplish this we all must follow these simple rules.
• Be prepared, in tune and ready to go when your slot comes up.
• NEVER go on stage without prior permission or being invited.
• When asked to wrap it up, leave stage promptly.
• NO profanity on stage.
• Support and aid fellow musicians whenever possible.
• Do NOT adjust any equipment that you do not own.
• Treat all borrowed equipment/instruments with the same care you would your own. Host’s equipment is loaned at the sole discretion of the host.
• Mind your volume. Serve the music not your ego.
• Treat your hosts and ALL bar staff with respect.
• Follow all instructions from the Hosts. Playing here is a privilege not a right.
• Failure to follow these basic rules will get you banned. NO exceptions or second chances.
• Have fun. Leave all your issues at home where they belong.
