Looking back on July 🩵
July was a fun, crafty month and I got to try a few new things, which is always exciting! I didn’t get to make quite as much as I’d hoped due to some health issues, but I’m prayerfully moving forward into August with hope and optimism. 🥰 There are some marvelously exciting things on the horizon in the next few weeks for JuneBug & Bea, including the launch of my upcoming in-person classes (YAY!! More info very soon on these) and the upcoming conference I’ll be vending at NEXT month! 🥰🙌🏻 I’m a busy little “Bea” right now for sure haha 😆 🐝 How was your July? “What are wood flowers?” This is definitely my most commonly received question. When you hear “wood flowers”, it’s easy to get an image in your head of a wood block with a flower design or something similar. The wood flowers I work with are surprisingly soft and pliable, similar to foam, but made of natural materials. They are made of the shola plant root and are hand-rolled into flower shapes. Once I design an arrangement, I hand-paint each bloom and I’m able to create a variety of textures and styles. With proper maintenance, sola wood flowers can remain vibrant and last for years.
