The Kingdom of Bhutan is famous for making the case that happiness can, indeed, be quantified and measured. Amber Gurung has been trained by Bhutan's Ministry of Gross National Happiness as a "happiness agent," meeting with people across the country and administering the 148-question survey. As he gently and empathetically guides others through the questions, we find that this unmarried 40-year-old has some questions about his own quality of life. This film will be followed by a Q&A with Dr. Kayla Gabehart and Dr. Daniel Shtob from the social sciences department, and Dr. Jeffrey Pettibone from psychology.
