Bravura concerts are powered through the collection of good-will offerings and through the generosity of our donors. Bravura invites professional quality performances and does not charge admission for its concerts, solely relying on the support of its community. The concert series welcomes everyone to come and "Experience Life through the Arts at All Saints."

Bravura is delighted to present our next program featuring Beethoven and Brahms Violin and Piano Sonatas performed by violinist, Ricardo de Mello, and pianist, Dr. Ruby Hangfong Au. We are excited to share that Dr. Au will perform on a CF4 PE Yamaha Grand Piano.

Bravura is delighted to present our next program featuring Beethoven and Brahms Piano and Violin Sonatas performed by violinist, Ricardo de Mello, and pianist, Dr. Ruby Hangfong Au.

The program will feature Sonata No. 5 in F major Op.24 for Violin and Piano "Spring" by Ludwig van Beethoven and Sonata No. 3 in D minor Op. 108 for Violin and Piano by Johannes Brahms. Johannes Brahms's Violin Sonata is the last of his violin sonatas, composed between 1886 and 1888. The sonata is dedicated to Brahms' friend and colleague Hans von Bülow and was premiered in Budapest in 1888, with Jenő Hubay on violin and the composer at the piano. The Violin Sonata No. 5, a four movement work for violin and piano by Ludwig van Beethoven, was first published in 1801. The work is commonly known as the Spring Sonata (Frühlingssonate), although the name "Spring" was apparently given to it after Beethoven's death. Both sonatas are exquisite works of art that will be a perfect addition to your weekend.

The concert was fantastic and featured selections from the Verdi Requiem. We look forward to our next concert on November 10 featuring Beethoven and Brahma piano and violin sonatas.

Thank you for joining us for Opera Chorus Highlights presented by Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir. Houston Cecilia shared opera favorites, memorable mentions from operettas and audience favorites.

Next, the Archdiocesan Choir of Galveston-Houston will present selections from the Verdi Requiem in preparation of their annual In Memoria concert. The Verdi Requiem, Messa da Requiem is a musical setting of the Catholic funeral mass (Requiem) for four soloists, double choir by Giuseppe Verdi. It was composed in memory of Alessandro Manzoni, whom Verdi admired, and therefore also referred to as the Manzoni Requiem. Considered too operatic to be performed in a liturgical setting, the Requiem is traditionally performed in concert form.
