I think we’ve finally recovered from this EPIC event, TDECU’S Denim & Diamonds 2024 Holiday Gala. A special shout out to my amazing husband Saint Douglas for helping me realize my insanely “youwanttodowhuuut” vision. I still remember the look on his face when I said, you remember having drinks at the Chandelier Bar - Cosmopolitan Hotel? Jump ahead to painstakingly stringing thousands and thousands of crystals in perfect proportion (the pics can’t hold that magic). Everyone at TDECU believed in my vision from the very beginning and supported and encouraged me 100% of the time. I used to think that budget was the most important predictor of success but it’s actually Trust. Money can’t buy that.

When your city is widely regarded as the energy capital of the world, it’s very difficult to not feel discouraged and quite frankly, outrage by the gross incompetence and negligence of . A week and counting, power has yet to be restored to not only us but to many here in the Arts District (Downtown adjacent). Despite having no light or air, thankfully we were able to design and produce arrangements for a very special funeral whose grieving family members were counting on us.
