After 27 hours of shooting (14 hours Monday, 13 hours Wednesday) our short film on Human Trafficking finally wrapped. Special thanks to the very talented actresses and actors on set that delivered their A-game daily. I put actresses first in that sentence because the women both on cast AND crew really carried the heart and soul of this film and made it happen, even my wife helped with hair and makeup. So here's to the women in all of our lives who make this world so awesome. We made movie magic this week about a very serious subject, and this is by far the proudest I've been of any project I've been a part of. Special thanks to lead talent Denise Williamson and our producer Debra Gutjahr Hale, the crew- John Hale, Gerald Morris Jr, Isaiah Peña, Ashley Smith, and Jessica Alston, the cast - Karina Pal Montaño, James Bradley, Iza Scott, Courtney Locke, Alan Nelson, Eliani Torres, John Enick, Christina Stroup, and Anita Darby, and can't forget our writers Isaiah Peña and Dom Orozco.

Up at the crack of dawn (4am) to get this money shot of Downtown Houston's sunrise. This hyper-lapse shot took us 2 hours of the Director (Michael Raak) saying action every 5 seconds to push the dolly along Allen Parkway's running trail at 2 foot increments until we landed here.

The last month has been really tough scheduling location shoots in/around Houston, but we finally managed to knock out this heavy scheduled day of shooting everywhere from Discovery Green to Hermann Park and even the Galleria. ALL of which we had to get permission to shoot a month in advance for this specific project. So thank you weather for finally cooperating and giving us one good day of sunshine.

All that remains of this recording space is the graffiti logo, a soon to be painted-over green wall, and a pile of staples. Not sad to see it go though as we are moving into a bigger and better space at Silver Street Studios. Congrats to Rival Films moving into their new space at Silver as well.
