What a spectacular concert by Nicholas Capozzoli last weekend here at St. Philip! Nick played brilliantly, and it was a great pleasure having him here from Montréal to open our 2022 Summer Organ Concerts. If you missed it, we have video! Just click the play button below.

Patrick Parker Zelezik, founding director of Houston Baroque and previous performing musician for Music at St. Philip Concert Series, presented a recital on the Tannenberg Organ at Old Salem Museums & Gardens. Here is a video of the final piece on the program, Ciacona in E Minor, BuxWV 160, by Dietrich Buxtehude.
The historic Tannenberg Organ was completed in 1800 for the Home Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC, and restored in the 1990's by Taylor and Boody Organbuilders.
Houston Boychoir presented a beautiful program Sunday afternoon to a packed sanctuary at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. In this video we hear the Chamber Choir, conducted by Artistic Director Carole Nelson, singing a Chinese song, "Yu Guang Qu," accompanied on the Hulusi flute by Brendon Jiang.
