A red poinsettia reminds me of my childhood, growing up in Mexico we had a huge poinsettia plant that almost looked like a tree.
Poinsettias are native to Mexico and parts of Central America, they are called Flor de Nochebuena.

La flor de nochebuena means recuerda a mi niñes, en mi casa en Mexico temíamos una planta que era tan grande como un arbol pequeño. Lá flor de nochebuena es oriunda de México & partes de Centroamerica.

Finally posting images of my finished cheese box peony, it has been a hectic week for us in Texas, but grateful to be ok, hoping everyone is ok wherever you are.

✨ My love for paperflowers dates back to my childhood watching my grandma make paper flowers to take to church. I have always loved crafts and learned to do embroidery & crochet when I was a little girl.
✨ I live in Houston, Texas with my two daughters, three cats & one dog… yes we love animals!
✨ On the weekends you find me crafting or baking.
