Lorna + Pablo's wedding was designed intentionally to feel like a lush garden, the outdoor garden ceremony area is what our bride first fell in love with upon touring the venue. Once we realized how much she loved the landscaping we instantly knew we would translate that luxe garden look throughout the entire wedding including the reception.

It has been quite a minute since we last sat down and talked. September to be exact. A lot has transpired. Let's catch you up.
Now here we go: you ever just sit and feel like some things around you are off kilter? Like just something but you can't put your finger on it?!?! Yea that!!!! It's actually your discernment trying to nudge at you to investigate further what's the root cause of that feeling. Here's the thing, when you're a business owner, seemingly one in the wedding/event industry, and a top luxury planner, whereas there are a good bit of people that know you have a preferred vendors list, there can be a lot of invitations to be around you, whether it's let's chat over coffee, let's set up a call, come to our party, etc. etc. etc., which is pretty normal in the business world as it's all under the guise of networking....but guess what....God may not have wanted you around every single one of those that were trying to be in your space. Even some of the businesses you've been doing business with for years. You all know I fasted in September for spiritual clarity, but I decided to prolong the fast even into October. When. I Tell. Yall. God. Revealed. Some. STUFF!!!!! Instantly knew why I had been feeling off, instantly knew who he no longer wanted me to allow into space and he revealed the reasons why LOUD and clear 😳😳. One of my faults (yes transparent moment) is that once I determine that you are one of our preferred businesses that we refer clients out to...I will ride to the ends of the earth to make sure you are taken care of without even a thought. For years I was blinded by 'grind mode' that now that I've reached an Era where I can begin to relax more and enjoy the fruits of my labor, I began to rewind time and examine my business relationships. Ones where we brought so many clients to businesses but then never even stop to evaluate if they had reciprocated. No we don't do it just for the reciprocation, clearly if years had passed before realizing it. But to ride so hard for people that don't do the same for you is not a good business relationship and don't you let anyone try to gaslight you into thinking otherwise. Moral: trust your discernment.

The last time I really sat and talked to you all was in the thick of summer, well over a month or so ago. Now that September is here and the embarking of things anew arise, I'm back to rehash what has transpired up until this point.

You know that we rebranded. You know that the rebrand was not only business, it was also personal (previous post). Here's what you may not have known. After the rebrand, a beautiful celebration that brought many we love in the industry together to fellowship our accomplishment, then not long after the dust had settled....I started experiencing multiple isolated occurrences back to back where I was not only disrespected but where others attempted to belittle me or my team, and I am a believer of GOD (if you're not and you don't like this, chile run 🤣) so I know that these were intentional attacks of the enemy because of the greatness that was and is to come for this business. How do I know? Because the occurrences were all intertwined with business. They came from other industry vendors who we have never worked with before and otherwise would never have been working with if not for unorthodox situations. Either way, in every single one of them...God told me to forgive them, which I did. Please don't ask who, we are not here for that or for any bashing.

Nonetheless it happened which let's me and my team know....chile this upcoming wedding season will be IT!!!! You mean they came for us that hard and it hasn't even started yet? Yep this season will just have to be one of those ones...because they trieddddd us...his children. We're covered so nice tryyyyyy. Aside from this: as you know we recently finished our team retreat, I was also fasting for spiritual reasons during our retreat and what I recollect most was when we were hiking in the mountains and I just remembered thinking of how eerily quite it was, especially considering we were still within the city of Albuquerque so it should have been noise but it wasn't. By the time we finished the 2 mile hike, it dawned on me that it wasn't eerie, the quiet. It was that I had been surrounded by so much noise, it made the hike that more beautiful. Cheers to September! We got this!

That time late last year when team Polished took on New York, for a quaint art deco themed intimate wedding of about 50 people for our couple Jessica + Armando. As the story goes, these two love birds crossed paths in high school, both thought the other was pretty cool...went off to different colleges. Jessica set her sights on the big apple and time went on. As destiny would have it, they found each other years later and guess what? It just so happens that they both still thought the other was pretty cool 🤣. Their wedding day was full of love and every aspect was tailored exactly to what they wanted. Complete with a beautiful church ceremony in Brooklyn, followed by a Michelin star dinner complete with apps + cocktails overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge held at for their reception, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace overlooking water while enjoying having their portraits drawn by none other than during cocktail hour, we had it set to where our couple was city hopping with their amazing photographer, world renowned as he captured the most captivating images of them. We ended the night with lots and we do mean LOTS of dancing thanks to the awesome tunes + vibes provided by and of course the night wouldn't be complete without our couple having one last final photo overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Now both NYC + Jessica & Armando hold a special place in our hearts 🥰
