In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating women in history who have made a difference to the culinary world. Whether through their ingenuity or creativity (or both!), our food and kitchens would not be the same without them.
Nancy Johnson invented the ice cream maker in 1843. In a time when women usually relinquished their legal rights to their husbands, Nancy maintained hers and came forward to file a patent on her own. Talk about a fearless foodie!
