A few months ago I posted about an almost client referring me to a family friend that ultimately booked me to manage her wedding with just a phone call. She hadn’t seen my website or social media.

Fast forward to this past Thursday, when an unexpected storm TORE through Downtown Houston on the very street her wedding was scheduled to take place TWO DAYS LATER.

When I spoke with the venue Friday AM, they reported the building was UNTOUCHED!

When we spoke to all of the vendors scheduled to work the wedding EVERYONE reported they were still good to go and weren’t afraid to drive into Downtown.

When Jada and I spoke to the Bride & Groom Friday morning, they were calm and understanding yet expecting the worse.

it was such a relief to report the storm didn’t stop their show!!!

on Saturday, they had a beautiful ceremony and one hell of a celebration! It was truly a great day.

And today… an unsolicited, heartfelt 5-star review.

Knowing that our clients experienced the day they had envisioned and got to express their love and commitment their way— truly warms our hearts and makes it all worth it.

And we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat!💓

DON’T WANT TO INVITE CHILDREN?
🚨 SAVE THIS POST🚨

If you don’t want to host children at your wedding or next event it’s important to address the kiddos issue in multiple spots to avoid any confusion:

💌 **On the Envelope:** Address to adults only as “Mr & Mrs Robinson” or “Ms. Susan Robinson” to avoid implying children are invited.

🎟️ **On the Invitation:** Let them know it’s an “Adult Only Affair” to encourage a date night vibe!

📝 **On the RSVP Card:** “___ of 2 guests attending” - make sure to specify the number of available seats.

💻 **On the Website:** Mention it in the event details, limit additional guests in the RSVP section, state it in the reception details, and add it to the FAQs.

You might still get a few calls, but listing it everywhere reinforces the no-children policy. Also, be ready for questions about age limits (12yo, 16yo, 18yo, 21yo+, or babies under 1yo?). Address these in the FAQs too!
