You never know when you might want to add a little bit of disco to your day!
Lovely night at the Pavilion - outdoor wedding then indoor reception. A few notes - Houston weather rarely cooperated, so if you are holding part of your event outside I would recommend having lots of seating, shade & refreshments on hand, especially if you encounter delays as we did at this event when the valet lost the groom’s car keys. I think it is also always a good idea to ask about the path of the sun at a venue, as well as sunrise/sunset times - this will help you plan the layout and times of the evening.
The monthly “Tea and Tour” is back at the Bishop’s Palace in Galveston!
Love a house party! Great excuse to polish the silver.
So happy we got a chance to work in the Bryan Museum’s Conservatory - such a beautiful space and the nicest people. As an added bonus, the event was for the Turtle Island Restoration Network who are working so hard to save the sea turtles!
I’ve been trying to up our chocolate game for years. I’ve watched all the YouTube videos and read the books but until Dany at Mostly Chocolate walked us through his expert techniques, I never got it right. It is a detailed act of love and so worth it! Quick summary of our last tasting, which I think features a great, full-bodied menu. It includes a pre-set salad course, a series of passed appetizers along with two proteins and two sides. On the day it would of course be a cake but for today we did a fun arrangement of chocolate-dipped strawberries, almond macaroons and heart-shaped bon-bons.
Working on our seasonal pallet - Tuscan summer!
She taught me how to cook and even now, decades later, flys down from Alaska to work with us on events just so we have more time together! Happy Mother’s Day!
We had to fit last night’s caprese salad on a 6” plate - found this little approach on Pinterest. Six hours & 240 tomatoes later, they tell me I’m not allowed on the internet anymore!
Wondering what dinner for 700 looks like? Sure, we all do! Thanks to everyone for making the night a success!
