This Valentine's season marks Mibellarosa's 12th year in business, which means my first bb girl is now one full Chinese zodiac cycle and that makes her an Aquarius Rabbit. Yes, I looked it up and did a deep dive last night since I couldn't sleep with all the orders running through my mind.

Aquarius Rabbit women apparently always consider themselves right and more worthy than others in everything. This cracks me up and I kind of love it.

The Aquarius Rabbit woman are always full of ambition, self-confidence and independence. They have powerful willpower, magnetism and charm that makes them especially attractive and interesting for others. In addition, they are very talented. Usually they manifest themselves in music, art.

I mean, I feel like this is all pretty spot on for Mibellarosa, right? I can't believe she's already a tween. Thank you everyone for your amazing support these past 12 years. Just delivered our last outstanding gallery and I feel like a new woman. A silver lining to this whole situation is that we finally get to work on things that we never seem to have time to do! And I don’t know about you but I am READY to start the great purge at our house! 😜 With that being said, I can wait til we get back to photographing ALLL the pretty things like this showstopper by at a recent wedding!

I also wish you were here to meet my nanny because you always hated women from West Vietnam with colorful outfits and this one would definitely be a match for you to brawl and bicker with. I've been really good with staying away from Instagram to get work and life done...minus the hilarious chats with many of you. It's amazing how much work you can get done if you just stop posting every other day and stop monitoring your likes and follows. It's also amazing that we lived just fine years ago without all the social media and now we have to restrain ourselves from it. Come to think of it, at one point, I was taking 17-hr college course loads, held 2 part-time jobs, an internship, went out dancing 4 nights a week, and somehow also managed to actually study. That, my friends, was one heck of a life without smart phones, apps, and selfies. Obviously, I have zero energy to do all that now...so back to posting the pretty!

I love this quote by Thích Nhất Hạnh. Whenever I need peace, reassurance or to just zen out, I think of him and his words and my mind is instantly still. It's nice to have someone remind you you don't have to "become" something after you've been raised to seriously figure out what you want to become, doesn't it? "Your purpose is to be yourself." I just love that. It's so simple yet we always make it so difficult to just truly be ourselves. Anyways, just Friday thoughts. Happy International Women's Day!!!

Lots of proposals must have been happening over Valentine's Day because we're getting in so many inquiries. On that note, I've been very selective with our weddings/events and projects lately because:
1) I want to focus my undivided attention on clients who SEE me and my creative process as more than flowers on tables that fit the bill,
2) while I wish I could take on every project, there simply aren't enough hours in a day and money in the bank, so I have to extra picky about projects to make sure they will enhance my art and grow my business, and
3) quite frankly, I get terribly exhausted from just walking upstairs now and can barely hold a bucket of flowers without feeling strained. It took so much physical pain, mental stress, money and time to make Baby M happen via IVF, so I have to slow down and try not to do it all. I have to stop carrying so much weight--literally and figuratively--in order to give her a safe environment to grow healthily. Even though I've had a good pregnancy so far with very little complaints, she's proving to be quite a high maintenance diva (not sure where she gets that from) and I can't punish her until she's out.
So while I appreciate EVERY inquiry and collaboration request, know that I must pass up on majority of them this year to become a better artist, a more successful business owner, and alas a mom.

This is just about the cutest vase, y'all and the best part is Bering's Hardware is giving one of these Vietri vases away to one of our workshop attendees!!!!! I honestly don't even think the flowers do it justice since it covers up the beautiful ruffles at the top but I guess you can never complain about flowers...not mine anyway. 🤣
We still have a few available seats for our Galentine's workshop with , so hurry up and grab them for yourselves, your gfs, wives, moms, ride-or-die bffs, sisters, partners in crime, or even as gifts to that person who always gets you through those days when you can't fathom to drag yourself out of bed to wash your 4-day-old hair but you do it anyway just to go meet up with her bc she's that awesome (I'm already teaching the workshop, so think of another awesome person). 😚💕

Thanks for all the love this year. I love that you love it most when I hide my face with flowers. 🤣🤣🤣 In all seriousness, I'm so grateful for each and every one of your likes, comments, interactions, chats, etc. Most of you always tell me how much you love my realness and my extra-af-ness, and that's basically me in a nutshell and that's what I do best. There's no unnecessary sugar or disingenuity in me and I don't care to borrow any from anyone, but I do have an excessive amount of EXTRA in me and I love sharing that. xoxo
