Houston is definitely representing at this years The Atlanta Weekender/ATLWKNDR 2023.

I was having a convo about this with Greg Stevens because I know he has been through it much more than I have. Greg has been a part of the weekender for ages now.

Here in Atlanta I often get the, “Where are you from?” question after throwing down a soulful house set. I am not shy and very proud to represent the great state of Texas and the city of H-Town and I always get a hearty, “Y’all got house like that in Houston?!?!?”. I always respond with a resounding HELL YEAH, we have some die hard soulful and deep house specialists in the H!

I of course have a new home in Atlanta and I am honored to be a new member of the ATL delegation but I will always cut for my roots as a Texas Soulslinger. There are so many talented and creative artists in Texas, I am so excited to see these folks representing on one of House Music’s largest events the ATL Weekender!

Shout out Tony Hatchett (Chosen Few brother who is no stranger to the big stage, he blesses Houston with his music on a regular as a resident and one third of the Htown collective Spiritual Dance Sessions), MsMelodic Live (Uber talented soulful DJ with the voice of an angel 😉 )and of course the homie DJ Nimbus (the Houston Deep and Soulful House diplomat.)!

Special shout to Jesus Altamirano and my new crew The Atlantean for welcoming me to this city and giving me a platform to show this city how a Son of the Texas can do his thing!
