4:33pm, 1/8/25 UPDATE:
No major changes to snow forecast, but, more confident now that all of NWA gets at least 2" of snow, some (especially S of Fayetteville) could get to 6"

Highest totals in the River Valley, especially S of Ft. Smith. Additional changes do remain possible! Track is pretty much set, but, any fluctuations in overall strength to this system would require additional adjustments up or down.

The Poteau Police Department has been made aware of a new scam. A victim will receive a package that will contain a QR code (a square shape with a bunch of tiny white and black dots in it). Once the victim scans the code with their phone, the phone will stop working. The scammer then has full access to all stored data on the phone, including banking accounts, passwords, and social media.

If you receive any suspicious package (especially one you didn't order), discard it. You do not need to contact law enforcement to make a report unless your phone is comprised.
